I can’t recommend HVAC Cowboys highly enough. We’ve used them for two major A/C projects recently, and both experiences were exceptional.
In April, they replaced a unit that was more than 20 years old. More recently, in the middle of the summer heat, an 11-year-old system failed and needed to be replaced. In both cases, Shawn, Justin, Angel, and the entire HVAC Cowboys team demonstrated something that is incredibly important to me when hiring a contractor: they earned my trust.
What impressed me most was how thoughtful and thorough they were. They didn’t simply recommend a system and rush to get it installed. They took the time to make sure we were selecting the right system for our home, including doing a complete 3D scan of the upstairs to confirm that the sizing and configuration were appropriate. They were clearly committed to doing the job correctly rather than simply getting the job done as quickly as possible.
When our system failed this week, HVAC Cowboys went above and beyond before they even started the replacement. They brought us temporary portable A/C units to get us through the wait for the new system. That made a huge difference for our family—especially our son, who was able to have A/C in his room and get good sleep as school was starting back up. That kind of thoughtfulness and willingness to help is something you don’t forget.
They also went out of their way to work us into their Friday schedule so we wouldn’t have to spend the weekend in an essentially unlivable house. The team put in extra hours to make sure everything was installed properly and working perfectly before they left. They never seemed focused on simply getting in and out; they were focused on getting it right.
Unfortunately, the 11-year-old system we just replaced had already experienced a major failure, and we ultimately learned that problems with the original 2015 installation contributed to its premature failure. The unit had been installed in a way that left it exposed to hot attic air, which contributed to moisture and ultimately an early motor failure. It’s frustrating to have to replace an 11-year-old system years earlier than expected, but it also reinforced for me just how important it is to have a company you can trust to do things the right way.
That’s what HVAC Cowboys has earned from me. Whether you need a repair, maintenance, or a complete system replacement, I would recommend Shawn and his team without hesitation. They are knowledgeable, thorough, honest, and genuinely care about doing what is best for the customer—not just what is quickest or easiest.
Trust is critical in this business, and HVAC Cowboys has earned mine. I wouldn’t call anyone else.
