  I had a good experience with the company at first. The sales person was friendly and knowledgeable, the installation of the heat pump last June seemed to go well, and they were responsive to my texts. Since then, it’s been a completely different picture. The heat pump stopped working during the cold snap, when my 10 year old unit held up. I found out there wasn’t enough refrigerant in it. Another company pointed out I didn’t have surge protection, even though I paid for it with the install. When they did the spring check up, they tried to sell it to me again. The company corrected this issue. I also found out a permit was never pulled, the unit was installed to close to the wall and was facing my second unit, blowing air into it and making it less efficient. The noise level was actually higher than my old unit, and the UV bulb was installed in the wrong place. I kept asking the company to turn the unit so it was further away from the wall and not blowing into the other unit and kept being told they’re looking into it. I had a guy call and say he would come out. He didn’t. The company texted me on May 29 and said someone would get back to me after they discussed it (again!). As of June 26 no one has gotten back to me. They sent me an email offer me the opportunity to renew my maintenance plan. I didn’t accept it but my credit card was charged anyways. My unit is not dehumidifying the space properly, which is one of the reason I purchased this particular unit. I’ve had to bring in another company to address these issues, one that doesn’t charge a trip fee. This company discovered my humidity setting was set to +9 above the factory settings. Even with changing it, it’s still not working properly or displaying the correct temperature and humidity levels. What I’ve learned is that the proper installer and the correct unit and the most important things to look for when getting a new heat pump, and even though it seemed that’s what I was getting, it didn’t turn out that way.

  I selected HVAC Cowboys out of 3 other companies. They installed 2 Heat Pump systems and replaced all of my old duct work. I was most impressed when they measured and adjusted the flow of my ducts to ensure proper cooling throughout the house. After 2 years, they continue to provide my routine/preventative maintenance. The technician, Gary, has been my regular person. He is extremely thorough and always gives me a rundown on how things are working. I appreciate his excellent work and advice. I highly recommend this company for any HVAC service.

  A nice man named Jorge Belmontes did a very amazing and efficient job getting my ac back up and running. He was extremely helpful, letting me know what the issue was and proving helpful information about my ac unit. This company is extremely lucky to have a fine gentleman like Jorge Belmontes.
