I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with Rankin Roofing or any related operation involving Josh Mullins and Kelli Zeigler.
In my opinion, this company raises serious red flags. Based on public permit records I reviewed, the number of permits associated with their work appears to be nowhere near the volume of roofing jobs they claim or appear to have performed. When a company is doing large numbers of roofing projects but only a fraction of those jobs show up in public permit records, homeowners should be asking serious questions.
Permits matter. Proper licensing, insurance, subcontractor oversight, and compliance are not minor details in the roofing industry. They protect the homeowner, the property, the resale value of the home, and the customer if something goes wrong.
This operation appears to have bounced between names and entities over time, which only adds to my concern. In my experience and opinion, this has the look of a fly-by-night operation rather than a stable, transparent, professionally run roofing company.
Before hiring them, I would strongly recommend that homeowners do their own homework. Verify every permit directly with the city or county. Ask for proof of insurance. Ask who is actually performing the work. Confirm whether the proper permits are being pulled before work begins. Get every promise in writing.
Based on what I have seen, reviewed, and experienced, I would not recommend Rankin Roofing. Customers deserve transparency, accountability, and lawful business practices — not excuses, name changes, and unanswered questions.
