Our experience with Goettl was spectacular from start to finish! Hailey made scheduling quick and easy. She even got us moved up for same-night service, thank you for the 2nd call to inform us!
Billy McDermott was amazing — professional, informative, and incredibly thorough. He greeted our daughter with a Goettl stuffed animal (which she already loves & has already fallen asleep with). Billy made sure we understood every option and answer before he left. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better technician, thank you for going above & beyond!! Give this man a raise!

My own experience with goettl has been so so. First off we lost our AC/heating during that cold spell in January. They came and diagnosed the issue and we needed to get a new indoor/outdoor unit. They were able to get it all installed it the next day. Our unit was running 23 hours a day after they installed it and it felt like it was blowing out warm air. They came and said the guys programmed the thermostat wrong. Flash forward a few weeks same issue and had a high electric bill. I called again to have them come and check it out. Turns out they wired the thermostat wrong and the heater was turning on while trying to cool. They promised to pay for the difference on that first month and the upcoming month because they installed it incorrectly. So when I sent them the second bill which was $1200 they forgot about it. Justin the service manager made a promise about a month ago that a check for that second bill would be sent out. It still has not come yet. I do think they have a great crew that does house calls, just lacking on the customer service side when mistakes happen.

We are very impressed with Goettl services that we received. They were here helping the very next day I called and I was surprised because it was a Sunday. Jason the sales representative was helpful in all the choices and decisions we made and answered all our questions. He was very friendly and efficient. The technicians Mathew and Eddie were fantastic, they were here on time and worked continuously the whole time they were here. Very kind and helpful in explaining the new system. The job they did looks very professional and clean. I would definitely recommend trying this company if you need your ac repaired or replaced.

We scheduled a preventative maintenance visit for our HVAC system because the primary drain line was clogged and the secondary/back-up drain had started dripping water. This should have been a very simple drain line flush. Unfortunately, our experience with this company was disappointing from start to finish.
The technician, Alex Nelson, arrived late and outside the original appointment window provided. During the visit he asked several personal questions about how long we had lived in the house and the remodeling currently happening in our kitchen. While that initially seemed harmless, the appointment quickly shifted away from fixing the actual issue and toward trying to sell us additional work.
After inspecting the unit, Alex immediately began pointing out “major problems” with our older HVAC system, despite the fact that the system has worked perfectly since we moved in and has passed prior inspections without issue. He claimed the heating portion was rusted and could cause carbon monoxide exposure. We explained that we have brand-new smoke and carbon monoxide detectors installed throughout the home and had zero issues all winter while regularly using the heater in the mornings. Rather than addressing the simple clogged drain line, the conversation continued to focus on expensive potential problems.
He then showed us a few photos on his phone, including the drain pan with standing water—which we already knew was due to the clog—and a blurry picture of the drain lines. He stated that one flexible drain pipe was “too old” and that he did not feel comfortable removing it to flush the line, even after we told him we would waive responsibility if any water spilled. He claimed the company would not allow it. Instead, he recommended rerouting the drain line and installing a new condensation pump for $1,080.
At that point, it became obvious we needed a second opinion because all signs pointed to this being a simple clog. Before leaving, he mentioned needing tape from his van, which is when we discovered he had drilled a hole into our ventwork to inspect inside. The vents/ducts are brand new and were installed right before we purchased the house.
After he left, we used a shop vacuum ourselves to remove the water from the drain pan and suction out both the primary and secondary drain lines with absolutely no issue. The supposedly “too old” flexible pipe was still very pliable, removed easily, and reinstalled without any problem. Since doing this ourselves, there has been no more dripping whatsoever.
Overall, this experience felt far more like a sales appointment than a preventative maintenance visit. It was frustrating to set up a service call only to have a simple issue exaggerated into a costly repair recommendation. Based on our experience, it seems this technician (Alex Nelson) may be working heavily on commission and was more interested in upselling unnecessary work than resolving the actual problem.

I needed preventive maintenance done on my HVAC system. I was surprised to see a Sunday appointment. Christian came out and arrived earlier than expected.
After performing the work, he made recommendations that could help prolong the life of my HVAC system. He provided the quote and sold me on the need to get it done. In a short period of time, I felt like Christian was being truthful. He went to get some equipment and returned to my house and completed the work.
He provided a detail explanation of his work. He went a step further and provided before and after pictures. I feel confident that Goettl had my best interest in mind. I was in search of a company that I could trust to service my HVAC for the foreseeable future. I strongly feel they are the one. Thanks
