In disbelief! My HVAC disconnect box was replaced over a year ago(melted) because the initial one was not properly installed by the builder. Elmer's "fixes" the box, replaces the wiring and fuses. A year goes by; I have an annual inspection done by a different company and they state my HVAC disconnect box is a fire hazard because the fuses are too small. I contact Elmer's to come look at their installation; they send a technician out for the next day. The technician immediately agrees they are too small and it's unsafe. That tech contacts the HVAC team to come out and replace with the correct fuses; he removes the unsafe fuses and re-wires the box, as they were damaged, and handles his part of the job no issues there; I am told "the HVAC team will absolutely be by today, but maybe not until around 8pm" (that would be ~4 hours later in the day). I say no worries. I then get called from their dispatch at 615pm stating the techs may not be out until 10pm but it's likely too dark to work and will be by tomorrow between 11am and 2pm. Now I have no AC for about 20 hours in 90-degree weather and I have to miss work, so I am here; that is on top of my family and I being exposed to a potential house fire for the past year anytime the AC kicks on due to their unsafe and incorrect installation. Never in my life have I left a bad review for anything, but this is absolutely insane. Very friendly techs is the nice thing I will say.

I want to be fair before getting into specifics. I purchased my unit from Elmer's Air Conditioning three years ago. The unit itself is excellent, and for the first couple of years the service appointments that come with it were handled well. This review is about a single year, this one, that has fallen apart in a way I think other customers and prospective buyers deserve to hear about.
Here is what trying to keep my unit serviced has looked like this year.
The first appointment, I called to book and was cancelled the day before due to a high volume of emergency calls.
The second appointment was scheduled for an 11 AM to 2 PM window. The tech did not show up during that window. Instead, I got a call asking if it was still okay if he arrived sometime after 5:30 PM, followed by a call cancelling outright.
The third appointment, the tech arrived, but only serviced the indoor unit. The outdoor inspection had to be rescheduled because of rain.
The fourth appointment, they called me on the wrong day.
The fifth appointment was cancelled after I had already received confirmation that the tech was on the way and "running a little late."
That is five appointments and a partial service visit, with my unit still not fully inspected and several days of my time spent waiting at home with nothing to show for it. Emergencies happen. Weather affects outdoor work. What does not make sense is how the same customer can be repeatedly bumped, miscalled, and rescheduled across an entire year without anyone at Elmer's noticing the pattern and stepping in.
Here is what I want Elmer's to think about, and what I want anyone reading this to know. I am exactly the kind of customer this company should want to keep. I bought a unit from them three years ago, I have been loyal through the regular service cycle, and I expect to need a second unit within the next three years. That second purchase was, until this year, almost certainly going to them. Right now, based on how this year has gone, I am no longer sure that's the case, and that's a real business consequence of letting service appointments slip the way they have.
The equipment is good. The past service was good. The service this year has not been, and a longtime customer deciding where to spend several thousand dollars on the next unit is paying close attention to how they're treated in the in-between years. I hope Elmer's takes this seriously, because I would prefer to keep buying from them.

I called today feeling completely defeated. My home warranty company had sent another provider who never followed up, and after a week in this Texas heat, I’d had enough. I decided to call Elmer’s after hearing their radio ad so many times, and I’m really glad I did.
From the moment I called, they were responsive and immediately worked to get someone out the same day. Mario Olivares, Senior Technician, came out to diagnose my AC unit, and he was incredibly thorough. He took his time, explained everything clearly, and made sure I understood my options.
Although repairs were possible, I chose the peace-of-mind option and decided to move forward with a new unit. After 13½ years, my system had simply reached the end of its life.
I’m so relieved I made that call. Great service, fast response, and a technician who truly cares. Thank you, Elmer’s and Mario, for coming to the rescue!

Michael Estrada delivered outstanding service during our recent AC maintenance, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment he arrived, he was punctual, professional, and clearly knowledgeable about his work.
He took the time to thoroughly inspect the entire system, not just the obvious components, and explained everything he was doing in a clear and straightforward way. It was evident that he genuinely cares about doing the job right rather than rushing through it. He identified a few areas that needed attention, walked me through the options, and made sure I understood the impact on performance and efficiency.
What really stood out was his attention to detail and pride in his work. Every step of the maintenance was handled carefully and methodically, and he left everything clean and in excellent condition. His professionalism, transparency, and strong work ethic made the whole experience smooth and reassuring.
If you’re looking for someone reliable, thorough, and highly skilled, I would absolutely recommend Michael Estrada. He sets a high standard for service and truly goes above and beyond.
I was having water heater issues with a heater that’s only 4 mos old. I called Elmers to come take a look. Turns out the issue stemmed from a bad electrical panel during the pool installation. I received a quote for both jobs. The electrician came out and finished his portion - water heater should have worked but it didn’t . It was Friday night around 8 pm. I was tired of not having hot water and Cameron the electrician could tell. He called one of the plumbers and they came out within the hour. Joseph and Rocko showed up drained the heater found the issue. Due to some miscommunication in diagnosis Joseph told me it would be an additional charge . I was so upset and frustrated I took it out on Joseph. He immediately called out to a supervisor and got permission to do the additional work at no charge as a courtesy. I was beyond grateful and expressed my thanks. These two gentlemen went above and beyond to ensure I had hot water before they left. They ended up draining and filling the tank twice before they got it to work correctly. For my inconvenience and all I had encountered they also gave me a yrs membership for AC/water heater maintenance free of charge . That’s customer service Not only was it a Friday night - it was midnight on a Friday night before they were done. The service these guys provided was one of a kind - so much so that I will be a customer for life — thank you Elmer’s - and thank you Cameron, Joseph and Rocko
