  As soon as I reported a problem with my generator not turning on when a power outage occurred, a technician was on site in less than 30 minutes, and quickly diagnosed and corrected the problem. Meanwhile the power was restored, but was cut off so that a test on the generator could be performed, which worked perfectly.

  My experience with Current Power Technologies (CPT) was not positive. My generator's yearly preventative maintenance was done in early November of last year by a different electric company "A" whose maintenance contract I paid in full up front and was up for renewal. After the maintenance was performed the light was reset. The maintenance yellow light should return in 11-12 months. Well the maintenance yellow light returned late December of last year and I called a different company "B" because previous electric company "A" contract rates went up. Company B found that the generator was giving a 2800 code for auxiliary shutdown switch. They found loose connections on the switch in the rear. They tightened those connections and fixed the issue. Well it happened again at a yellow light in mid-April of this year. I decided to try CPT. I explained the history when I booked an appointment. CPT rep informs us of their arrival and without tools just goes to where the generator is located and just resets the maintenance light and leaves in less than 10 minutes. They charge me for a diagnostic fee. They did not diagnose or write what code the generator was displaying. There is a reason the generator yellow light came on and is not just to hit reset and consider it fixed. When a vehicle dash light keeps coming on you don't just keep hitting the reset and consider it fixed. There is a reason the light came on. You are supposed to actually diagnose the problem. I called CPT and spoke with their dispatch and explained that my security cameras captured what happened. I asked if they could explain what code the generator displayed. They said they will have their tech call me which they never did. I called back and left a voicemail asking what exactly diagnostic they did but again they did not return my call.

  To a Job well done! Everyone is a professional, experienced, and know what there doing! Current power Technolgies you guys are the best! Would definitely recommend to all who want to install a generator. In addition they are very pleasant to deal.

Their customer service was outstanding—friendly, responsive, and professional every step of the way. The installation of our EV charger and garage outlet was done efficiently and with great attention to detail. They took the time to answer all of our questions and made sure everything was working perfectly before they left. I highly recommend Current Electric for anyone needing electrical work done right!
