  If you want an exceptional water softener, customer service, and technician, contact Alamo Water Softener (AWS) immediately. Due to thunderstorms, heavy rain, and the loss of power in my area two weeks ago, I experienced a power outage on my AWS tank. I reached out to AWS company (since the tank read an error 102 code) the phone representative scheduled my appointment with their seasoned technician, Randall (Booth). Randall conducted soft and hard water testing on all sinks and showers in my home. Additionally, Randall checked the outside water hose spigot for hard water accuracy. Randall meticulously checked every cog, nook, and cranny to ensure my softener was running in top shape (which it is). Subsequently, Randall adjusted the water softener settings to ensure efficiency and effectiveness (post-power outage). Thank you Randall (Booth) and AWS company.

  We have had a water softener system with AWS for years. Last year we needed a new system after almost 15 years. We used AWS again. Then we learned they do other plumbing services and they installed a new water heater. Today I had them check out a problem I was having with my other water heater (they did not install). The service is always professional, prompt and they were less than the other plumbing services we have used. I am very happy with AWS and will continue to use and recommend this company.

  We’ve had the Alamo water softener for 3 years & did needed to do nothing to it. That’s a great thing in & of itself. The “maintenance” sign came up, The person who answered the phone just to set up, the appointment was very informative. And because of our water level, we even delayed having the maintenance done For another month Anyway, Chris came out and he was very personable as we talked about how the system worked for us & other things. Chris had me go around the house for water samples inside as he tested the outside sources. He made one little adjustment to water “hardness” pretty good for a 3 yr system we did essentially nothing to except add a salt bag here and there

  I’ve been a customer of Alamo Water Softeners for about four years now, and they continue to impress me every time. I originally hired them to install a water softener and reverse osmosis system, and they did such a great job that I didn’t hesitate to call them again when our water heater went out. Jose and his team came out to install a new tankless water heater, and they were incredibly helpful and efficient throughout the entire process. Everything was done professionally and in a timely manner. The next day, we noticed that not all sinks and showers were getting hot water. I called them back, and Andy came out to take a look. He was extremely knowledgeable, quickly identified the issue, and made sure everything was working perfectly before he left. Now everything runs smoothly, and I can enjoy hot showers instantly! It’s rare to find a company that stands by their work and provides such excellent customer service even after the job is done. Highly recommend Alamo Water Softeners to anyone looking for reliable and professional service!

  UPDATE 4/24/26: I definitely will give credit where credit is due. The night of the original service, David, the vice president of the company attempted to reach out. When I spoke to him the next day, he genuinely apologized and offered to come out personally, the same day, to see if he could provide a better experience. David showed up on time, examined my softner, explained to me step by step what was wrong and repaired it. David also informed me he has used this mishap as an opportunity to retrain his staff, focusing on the customer and to definitely not be a sales focused company. I definitely believe one negative interaction should not taint the entire image of a company. From the follow-up experience, I believe they do care about their customers and I will definitwky reach out to them again in the future. Original post 4/23/26 Requested a service call from Alamo for our water softener because they were the name on the softener. Some water was draining from the softner when it was not regenerating. Alamo sent someone same day (yay!); it was purely a sales pitch (BOO). The person sent DID NOT EVEN LOOK AT THE SOFTNER! He immediately went into selling. First, a wifi enabled water shutoff device installed at the meter for our home safety, then of course a full system replacement. He threw in some small statements about repair and recharging after I asked, but definitely pushed a full system replacement. I took time off work for a sales pitch!! I feel like this was something that could've been done over the phone when I called. Hey, we know exactly what's wrong! No need to send anyone and waste your time! So disappointed.
