NOT a good company to work with!! They came out & installed a new commercial shop door opener for us for a whopping $3,200+ while my husband had to be gone unexpectedly. When they left, they also took our, less than a year old, chain pulley system with them. Joel, the installer, new that the chain system was practially brand new. He even mentioned that our place was brand & I told him that it was less than a yr old. When they left, they took our gear box, chain, etc. with them. They didn't ask to take it & when my husband got back he asked where it was because we had a smaller, yet large shop door, that he wanted to have that chain pulley system installed on. He contacted Joel & Joel said that all old systems are taken & scrapped. 1) It's not there's to take, it belongs to US! & 2) It wasn't an old system...it was practically brand new. 3) You wouldn't "SCRAP" a practically brand new pulley system. Why?
I call them because Joel's response is ridiculous. I get Bill L. who doesn't want to "debate" why they have always taken old systems & scrapped them, so therefore that makes it alright to do. HE DOESN'T LISTEN AT ALL! SO LONG AS WHAT THE COMPANY HAS DONE IN THE PAST, WHICH IS NEVER ASKING THE CUSTOMER WHAT THEY WANT, THEY'VE JUST TAKEN THE "OLD SYSTEMS," IT'S ALRIGHT...HE'S NOT GOING TO LISTEN TO THE FACT THAT HE'S TAKEN WHAT BELONGS TO ME, OFF MY PROPERTY, WITHOUT ASKING ME.
So, he wants me to take pics of the new system that Joel, their employee, has installed, & then the door that we wanted the chain pulley system to be installed on. I do that, but tell him that I don't see the purpose of sending pics. I just want my property back. Bill then tells me to give him to Wednesday, which is the next day, to get back to me. I say OK & that tomorrow is Wed the 13th. Guess what...he doesn't get back to me. Not a word. Go figure.
This is supposed to be a "family owned" business. "Veteran owned." THIS SHOULD MEAN SOMETHING TO THEM!! It means something to me when I see this, but apparently NOT TO BILL L.!! Certainly not to me either with this company.
Do yourself a favor. If you use this company, make sure that you're very specific about whether you want them to take your old or new system with them to "scrap." They'll just blame you for not telling them not too because, hey, that's what they've always done, so that makes it right to take your property without asking.
So, now we have to take them to Small Claims Court, file a claim against the BBB & perhaps the General Attorney's Office because Bill L. & Your Garage Door Guys doesn't want to return our property.
