  Building a home with Chesmar is a very positive experience. Kevin Lydon (New Home Consultant) and Antonio Valdez (Construction Manager) keep me updated weekly through emails and pictures of the progress on my home. They are both willing and ready to answer any question I might have and gave suggestions in making my home perfect for me. In addition to excellent customer service during the building process, Holly Matthews (designer) helped tremendously helping coordinate the various finishes in the home. I would recommend Chesmar without hesitation.

  Update: We are having issues with our tile flooring through out the house. It's an issue that was repaired twice when we moved in, and has continued. It's brittle and chips with any level of impact, and is separating from the sub-floor throughout the house. Now, Chesmar isn't helping to get it fixed. A neighbor had their flooring completely replaced - same tile floor. Chesmar took care of that and told the neighbor it was a flaw in the tile from the manufacturer, but they didn't tell us. The brick is degrading quickly, there are vertical cracks going straight through the brick that Chesmar says are "thermal cracks" and are normal. The caulking is cracking, the tile in the shower is coming loose. The flashing around the garage doors warped and separated from the house as they were installed with staples. The list goes on - while the framing of the house is good, the quality and longevity of the house is showing is wear-- and it's only six years old. I'd say stay clear from Chesmar at this point. I wouldn't buy another one. Not for the price. ............................... Absolutely the best home experience ever. The house is great and the attention to detail is second to none. The builder's response to any and all of our concerns was prompt. Kevin is quite literally the best salesman ever -- you never feel like you are being sold anything. You always feel like you are coming home. Matt is just as great - he takes personal pride in making sure your new house is your HOME. Here's the other thing -- do your research -- the materials Chesmar uses, and the things behind the walls that no one ever sees -- that's where the value is. It isn't in the sinks and the tile, it's in the construction. From the insulation on the outside of the house, to the insulated garage doors, to the foam seals around the windows. I can't say enough.
