  DO NOT USE BALLARDS! After waiting THREE WEEKS for installation because of their “mechanical issues,” we ended up with a completely different system than what we were promised. We paid for a concrete system with ONE riser and instead got a cheap plastic system with THREE risers. To make matters worse, the tanks had huge bold warnings printed right on the side saying: “DO NOT BACKFILL WITH CLAY.” Guess what Ballards used to backfill them? CLAY. We were also told they would run NEW piping from the house to the system. That never happened. Instead, they tied into the old existing piping. We took photos of everything because at this point we don’t trust the workmanship and fully expect problems down the road. And the damage to our property has been unbelievable. They completely destroyed our yard. Since installation, we’ve already had to spend an extra $2,000 bringing in dump truck loads of dirt because the ground keeps sinking around the tanks. We’ve laid 6 pallets of grass ourselves, and it feels like every single day there’s another issue to deal with. We are two people in our 60s trying to fix a disaster that never should have happened in the first place because we cannot afford to hire a landscaping company to clean up THEIR mess. We were ALSO told — TWICE — that the washing machine drain, located only 2 feet from the grease trap they connected, would be tied into the new system. Not only did they fail to connect it, but they actually CUT the washing machine lines. Then, after creating the problem themselves, they charged us AGAIN to come back out and fix it — on top of the original $8,600 bill! So yes, think long and hard before using Ballards. We were left with a destroyed yard, unexpected expenses, incomplete work, and absolutely no explanation of how the system even works. Now we’ll see whether they even honor the maintenance agreement that was supposedly included in the price.

  If you want to pay for a contract and get no service, they’re supposed to do quarterly checks then sign with these people they’re horrible. I’ve been calling them ever since I’ve moved in and saying I’m not getting my quarterly checks and I keep hearing them. Tell me we don’t have anybody we can’t do the quarterly checks the good people that used to work there and the only reason I stayed was because of Faith Faith left and so they lost me when they lost Faith. I could always depend on Faith to come out. If there was a problem she was very knowledgeable. She would educate us. Tell us things that the other people would never tell us and when You lost faith I lost faith in your business. I do not recommend them at all. The one time I had a problem my backyard was filled with muddy water from the pop-ups in the back that sprayed the water. The guy said nothing’s wrong with it and I said to him, are you kidding me? Are you telling me that everybody with an aerobic septic tank system has water in their backyard like this and he said pretty much and walked off. She was amazing. She came out two days in a row and even stayed very late on a Friday night, digging into that water, mud and fixing everything I needed a new pop-ups she was there. She educated me about the chlorine tabs that needed to go down into the system. I never knew about that. They told me they had pumped My aerobic system before I moved in. I bought the house two years ago. Come to find out it wasn’t pumped and it was about to go bad and burn out the system with the floater. It was to the top never knew that so she had sent somebody out here that she trusted that worked for the company and they pumped everything out. I was so grateful to Faith since we moved from out of state I’d never had experience with an aerobic septic system before the only reason I stayed with that company was because of Faith Corey and the new office manager that had come over also I think her name was Candace but none of them worked for Ballard anymore so I fired them and moved onto a better company that has better customer service.

  Red and Dot came out today and pumped our system, they did a great job , very courteous and helpful, would highly recommend, great guys.
