  I am so disappointed in the ethics and integrity of Mitchell, the owner of Texas Pride. His son, Cody, and his long term employee, Virginia, were overall a very positive experience. I am disappointed that Virginia chose or was directed to not speak on the phone and avoid direction communication. While I know the response to this will lack ownership and deflection, I do owe it to others to hear of the poor experience we had. And I acknowledge the other positive reviews: - Cody quoted us in Nov 2025 - We told Cody we were looking for a company who would handle the remove/reinstallation of the tub and toilet. Cody confirmed this is something Texas Pride doesn’t normally do, but would given our request to get the business. It was the only reason we chose Texas Pride. - In email and in the physical quote, we have Cody confirming the removal and reinstallation of our tub and toilet. - We paused moving forward because of a health diagnosis in Dec 2025 - We restarted the project in August 2026 - Cody shifted Teams and Mitchell took over Sales - We offered Mitchell to come out to ensure alignment as transitioning a quote many months later is understandably hard. - Mitchell denied this offer - Mitchell confirmed that he was searching for licensed plumbers to execute the work (screenshots), which included reinstallation. - We set the start date and they delayed us a week, two weeks in a row. We responded to this with great patience and understanding. - A few days before starting, Virginia, who helps lead the projects, mentioned that reinstallation was never a part of the project and that they were under the assumption the tub was just being removed. - This was never communicated, which is why it’s not in writing. Nor does it even make sense given the massive blank space we’d have if we removed it. This could have been clarified weeks earlier, but Mitchell declined to come out when we asked. - From there, Texas Pride did nothing but go back on their word, that is in writing from both Cody and Mitchell. - I encouraged them to let us know if it wasn’t a fit, if we were being unreasonable, and to be honest. They did not ever follow up on that. - After many discussions, we agreed to remove the plumbing line item and directly reach out to their vendor. In that process, we discovered their vendor had a 3.8 review on Google, increasing concern of the quality of work Texas Pride would do. - We then agreed we’d go and find plumbers for the work and remove the line item. - We worked incredibly quickly to respect the shifting timelines of starting work with Texas Pride. - Upon finding a plumber, Texas Pride immediately decided to stop replying to text and decline working together via email. - The claim was misalignment in the past, which is true. But the misalignment was only for the plumbing related aspects and we had agreed to simply disagree on that and us find a plumber. At the end of the day, Texas Pride declined to come out to ensure alignment, lied about what was agreed to, despite written proof (attached), and then it felt like they intentionally created more friction so that the small job that they agreed to, would have the customer walk away. Once we didn't walk away, they chose to. The confusion, friction, and back and forth would have all been avoided if they had better documentation and Michelle would have simply agreed to come out. Given his inability to admit fault, it makes sense how this project ended. I was told that Texas Pride strives to do the right thing. But all I experienced was the name Mitchell gave themselves - prideful. Based on his character, I also not surprised he wouldn't list a long term employee on his site as part of the team given she's a minority and a woman, but that's conjecture at this point.

  I have worked with Texas Pride several times over the last 10yrs, and as long as they are in business, I won't shop anywhere else.

  Great company with a fully stocked showroom. But they will also bring samples to your home.

  We had our downstairs floors and bathroom floors replaced with LVP. Dusten was great to work with. We had 3 quotes from other companies and Texas Pride provided the best value at a great price. Texas Pride was the only company who provided a detailed estimate that made sense. All others would not provide a breakdown of their estimate. The team that installed the floors were professional, fast, and meticulous. I still cannot believe they removed builder grade sheet vinyl and replaced 1000 SF in one day! I love my floors! Great experience working with Texas Pride! Highly recommend.
