Be careful with repair estimates from Reliant, and get a second opinion -- we did and it saved us more than $2,000. We were experiencing high humidity and musty air from one of our units (which Reliant originally installed when our home was built), and the Reliant technician who visited used scare tactics to try to convince us that we had bacteria growing in our unit because of a leaking coil that needed to be repaired at a cost of $2,000 plus another $600 to add UV lights inside each unit. Thankfully, a neighbor recommended another HVAC company, whose owner came out the next day. He confirmed that our coil was not leaking, the "growth" in our unit was because of grass clippings piling up on the condenser and could be easily cleaned, and we just needed a new air filter. To top it all off, the high humidity was solved after he fixed several misconfigured settings Reliant made when our house was built three years ago. By the end of that day, our humidity had dropped to reasonable levels and the air was fresh again. If we hadn't gotten a second opinion, we would have spent close to $3,000 to fix a problem that wasn't a real problem, and we wouldn't have solved the humidity issue. We are thankful we have found a good alternative to Reliant.

Update: The owner shows a canned response here but fails to say I still after a week have no AC and their person who he says I should contact, said it could be months, they need to replace the unit if they can't fix it but for some reason it's ok for me as a senior citizen with senior dogs to swelter day after day. Don't believe this fake Google score, Yelp tells the real story. Reliant is no longer the company I used to refer friends to, in fact now I would say “at your own risk” or don’t even consider it.   We bought a top of the line Carrier unit 6 years ago and they did great work installing and making changes in ventilation and we saw a world of difference, they actually seemed to care.   Over the years the spring and fall maintenance visits we have done, suddenly they are more interested in selling you more things and no feeling of customer being appreciated, the first time they sent me their gimmick it was sent to me right after the service man left and I thought it was a bill for hundreds of dollars but it was them up selling and telling me things I really need.  Now my Carrier, top of the line unit, still under warranty has stopped working and apparently needs a part they as a Carrier Dealer do not have, but I have been told before by their people, that since they are a Carrier Dealer, getting parts would not be a problem.  Don’t believe it, that makes no difference as I am still sitting in a very hot house with no AC and when I ask for an estimated time, they will only say they will let me know when they hear from the manufacturer,  but they were very quick to tell me I would still be responsible for the labor of over $400 so again, all about the money, no concern for the customer.   So clearly there is no advantage to using a so called "Carrier Dealer”.   At this point I would not recommend either, Carrier or Reliant as they are both mediocre at best, unreliable for sure and not a good experience anymore.

Josh Jones was my service tech and from his arrival to wrapping up he was a true professional. Josh asked questions before starting, was efficient and thorough with his work, explained everything, and answered all my questions. There also were no attempts at an upsell. After leaving a report with multiple photos of my ac arrived that documented the work and my system. Thank you Josh.

I had a great experience with these guys. I called around 2 PM and Buddy Hart was at my place by 4:30 PM the same day. He’s a super humble and honest guy who clearly knows his stuff. He explained exactly why the unit failed, including a specific manufacturer issue, and even finished the repair faster than he estimated. My AC is back up and running perfectly. Pricing was fair and reasonable for the quality of work. I’d give Buddy 10 stars if I could. Highly recommend!

Daniel was fantastic — responsive, friendly, and straightforward. He didn’t push anything unnecessary and got the job done fast. The one thing I’d flag is the parts markup. The capacitor itself retails for under $25 — I was charged $280 for the part alone, plus a $75 diagnostic fee, with no separate labor line item, so it appears the markup was absorbed entirely into the part price. As a Hero Club Member, I expected better value and that makes the pricing even more disappointing. Great technician, but make sure you ask for itemized pricing upfront before any work is authorized. Two stars on value, five stars on service.
