Reliant Air Conditioning is truly a top‑notch company. They handled a very big job for me, and the entire team went above and beyond. Chris, Gabriel, and Josh V. worked incredibly hard, stayed focused, and followed through on every detail. Their professionalism really stood out.
I also want to recognize lead comfort advisor Craig McCaslin. His recommendations were thoughtful, honest, and never pushy. He made the whole process easy and stress‑free.
One thing that sets Reliant apart is their communication. They always notify me when a technician is on the way and even send a photo of the person coming to my home. That extra step gives me real peace of mind and shows how much they value customer safety.
Highly recommend Reliant Air Conditioning for anyone looking for reliable, professional, and trustworthy service.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent service experience with Reliant Air Conditioning. I contacted the company because it is who the builder of my newly built home used.
I have significant temperature differences between rooms. Two bedrooms are extremely hot while our loft gets extremely cold. I specifically scheduled a warranty appointment for the HVAC system to be evaluated and rebalanced.
The technician arrived within the scheduled appointment window, but immediately told me I was his last appointment, that he had been routed all over DFW throughout the day, and that he was so tired he had been getting sleepy while driving. I sympathized with him and even commented that the company should route technicians more efficiently. However, it quickly became apparent that his exhaustion may have affected the quality of the service I received.
Rather than thoroughly evaluating the airflow imbalance, he walked into each room with a handheld thermometer and took quick temperature readings. In one of the hot bedrooms, he acknowledged as soon as he entered that he could feel the temperature difference. However, seconds later he said the room was fine because his thermometer didn't show a big enough temperature variance. I explained that there was very little airflow coming from the vent. His raised his hands towards the vent and said he can feel the air and that I needed to install curtains because the window was making the room hot. There are currently no curtains anywhere in my home, yet the other rooms do not have this problem.
In the bright, airy, full of windows but curtainless loft, the thermostat was set to 76°, while his thermometer showed 71°. The adjacent bedroom remains noticeably hot, yet I was told the solution was to leave the bedroom door open so the cold air from the loft could cool the bedroom. That does not address why one room is being overcooled while another is not receiving adequate cooling.
He eventually went into the attic and told me he adjusted the dampers. When I asked him to show me which dampers controlled which rooms and explain what he adjusted, he just pointed to the silver air ducts. He then said the problem was my dirty HVAC filter and told me filters should be changed every six months. When I explained that this is a brand-new home and the HVAC system itself has not even existed for six months, he tried to tell me that just because I moved in 3 weeks ago does not mean the house hasnt been sitting for months. I told him I know for a fact it hasnt because I was present when the concrete was poured for the foundation.
I understand that technicians have long days, and I genuinely sympathize with the technician being exhausted after being routed all over the metroplex. However, customers with scheduled appointments at the end of the day still deserve a complete and competent service call.
I called Reliant the next morning and left a complaint requesting to speak with a supervisor. I was told there is an order to replace my filter at no charge and a supervisor will return my call. I am still waiting for that call.
My 2 bedrooms are still hot and my loft is still freezing. I want a proper balancing done and I want my concerns taken seriously rather than explained away with curtains, open doors, and a filter.
I will gladly update this review if Reliant follows up and resolves the issue appropriately.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with Reliant was unacceptable. Our upstairs AC stopped blowing cold air, and the Reliant technician diagnosed it as a failed compressor. He told us our only options were a $6,500 motor replacement or a brand-new system.
We decided to get a second opinion from West-O-Plex. Their technician found that the compressor was perfectly fine—the issue was simply a bad capacitor. West-O-Plex replaced the part and had our system running perfectly in 30 minutes for a total of $299.
Whether this was gross incompetence by the technician or an intentional, dishonest attempt to upsell a massive job, it is completely unacceptable. I am incredibly disappointed and cannot recommend Reliant.
I am highly interested in speaking directly with a manager to provide the service details and feedback so this does not happen to another customer.

Reliant to the rescue!!! I want to give a huge thank you to Danielle from Reliant for our service call late yesterday evening. Early Friday morning around 3 a.m., our AC went out, so we attempted to troubleshoot the issue later that day. After a few hours without AC, we went online, not knowing whether Reliant had availability. I’m happy to say they had an appointment window for yesterday evening. We scheduled the appointment, and Reliant provided us with up-to-date information about our service technician. Danielle arrived around 9:45pm and went straight to work. Even with it being so late, she was as nice as can be. I accompanied her to our outdoor HVAC unit, where she troubleshot it and figured out the problem. She explained why our AC went out and walked me through her process in detail for changing out the component. She was also able to look up my warranty info and give me information about Reliant's Hero Club program, which offers a discount and yearly maintenance service for HVACs, which I happily signed up for. Danielle had my AC fixed in less than 45 minutes, and the repair cost was very reasonable. I'm happy to say my family stayed cool and comfortable throughout the night! I would highly recommend Reliant for any of your home AC repair needs, and if you have Danielle as your technician, you're in good hands!!! Awesome Job!!!

RELIANT AIR CONDITIONING - WAIT FOR IT - IS A RIP OFF!
We have two AC units, one stopped working, suspected a capacitor. Called Reliant for a $99 visit by the Czech Tech. Confirmed the capacitor was bad - $350 plus the $99 visit to replace it. I asked him about the $29 capacitor at Home Depot, he said Reliant's are the best, thus the $300 difference. He "checked the numbers" on the second unit and said it needed to be replaced for around $4,990. NOTE Reliant advertises their techs are not salespeople, okay sure. He kindly called for another tech to come out for an "accurate cost estimate" and they could replace it same day. I told the Czech tech I'd pass and gave him $110 for his trouble. Called another small "family-owned" AC company and they replaced the capacitor and "balanced" the second unit for under $250 that day. PRESTO - COLD AIR blowing without spending over $FIVE GRAND! You tell me what happened. I was almost SCAMMED by Reliant Air Conditioning. Hey Reliant, credit me back the $110 and I'll note it on this review.
