  A Caution for Anyone Buying a Brand-New Home from Brightland Homes I purchased a Brightland home in Beamer Villas, where homes cost around half a million dollars. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. When we asked about the last available lot in the new neighborhood, the sales representative told us it would soon be priced around $550,000. They rushed us to sign a contract quickly while the house was only partially completed. Although the homes were advertised as "custom homes," that was not our experience. We wanted to make a few simple changes, such as installing walk-in showers, adding ceiling fans to all the rooms, and making a few other minor modifications. We were told that nothing could be changed at that stage. Before closing, we were also told that everything would be covered under warranty for one year. After moving in, we discovered that this was not the case. It took us about a month after closing to move into our new home. We were excited to finally live in a brand-new house. Within a few days, I noticed that the granite countertop was damaged. When I contacted the builder, I was referred to the warranty company, which then directed me to the construction company. Their response was simply to point to the contract and explain that many issues are not covered after closing. Specially Glass, Granite Countertops, Paint, Caulking. The main reason we purchased this home was because we liked the neighborhood. Unfortunately, the quality of the construction has not met our expectations. For a home costing around half a million dollars, many of the materials feel very cheap. The interior doors are low quality, there are no handles on many of the kitchen and bathroom drawers, and the caulking throughout the house is poorly done, with several areas where it is missing altogether. I've also heard neighbors complain about cracks developing in their driveways. It feels like the priority was simply to finish the homes, close the sale, and move on. DRB and Brighland Homes are just using Cheap materials for expensive homes. My advice to anyone considering buying from Brightland Homes is this: don't rush to leave a positive review immediately after closing. Take your time to inspect every part of the home carefully after you've moved in and make sure the workmanship and quality meet your expectations before sharing your opinion. This was my personal experience, and I hope it helps other buyers make an informed decision.

  Karen Howell was amazing! She made our experience as first-time home-buyers easy and enjoyable. Despite the fact that I was just always on the phone during meetings, Karen was so helpful, gave great information and detailed explanation about the floor plan we chose.
