This could be a short five star review, yet this story may help someone in a time of important decision. We had a very small amount of clear water at the base of our toilet that mysteriously went away. Later, we noticed our baseboards were warping and the little water returned.
Never dismiss water that mysteriously shows itself, it may be a leak that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. We called a plumber who showed us he suspected we had a leak from a wax seal and improper placement of our toilet during the building of our home, before we bought it. We didn't build the home, so we had no idea over a decade later we would have to come up with a solution to properly steward our home.
After consulting with the plumber and eventually later discovering mold, we hired an environmental assessor who created a protocol for a remediation company to take on. We had three companies come out we were referred to, interviewed and talked with them and even took the extra measure to research the companies very well. They were all nice and had good reputations. Above all however, John Crain respected the integrity we desired to preserve in the care for our home, its longevity and our family's safety, and his character stood out to us the most.
The other companies were fine and offered a competitive price, yet character and care are worth their weight in gold. John was patient with us as we had a couple things that delayed our getting started like holidays, etc., he only checked in with us, never pressuring us. He and Joey did an incredible job remediating and we had them also clean our HVAC system which was done with excellence.
If you're deciding who to work with, John's reviews and responses speak for themselves. I hope this might be helpful to tip the scale for you in your moment. John Crain works with expertise, they were efficient (our family stayed at an Airbnb while they were working), kept us up-to-date on all they were doing and when they completed the work. John and Joey also went the extra mile to very carefully remove our new stone countertop we had installed and planned to use again, from our vanity which had to go.
Once the work was complete and we had the work inspected and signed off on, he referred us to a wonderful man in his 70's who flawlessly rebuilt our Sheetrock and said about John, "There aren't many men out there like him," speaking to his hard work, integrity and good character, and told us he knows exactly what he's going to get when he shows up on a job that John did. I can confirm, and have recommend to others Crain Restoration Services and also to you.
