We had our air conditioning system installed by Rescue Air just two years ago, so we were surprised when it stopped working. Our appointment window was 1:00–5:00 p.m., but the technician didn’t arrive until 9:00 p.m. He spent about five minutes diagnosing the issue as a failed capacitor. When I asked whether the repair was covered under the warranty, we were told it was not because the outdoor condenser was “dirty.” The technician showed us photos, but the unit did not appear dirty by any reasonable standard. The only maintenance we had done was changing the filter every 12 months and occasionally rinsing off the condenser, which is exactly what we were told to do. We were initially quoted over $700 to replace the capacitor because we weren’t enrolled in their service plan. It felt like the warranty was essentially meaningless unless you paid for ongoing maintenance through them. After pushing back, they agreed to replace just the capacitor for $263. Even after the repair, the technician said the unit still wasn’t cooling as it should and immediately tried to sell us another $400 service to rinse the condenser coils. The whole experience felt more like a sales pitch than a service call. I would recommend Rescue Air for installation, as that process went well, but based on this experience, I would not recommend their service department. It left us feeling like the goal was to upsell rather than honor the warranty or provide fair service.

I hired Rescue Air & Plumbing in 2023 for routine maintenance on the original AC in our home. What should have been a simple visit turned into high pressure sales tactics. They claimed safety issues, pushed contracts in front of me, and scheduled installation for the next day. I tried to cancel but was told I was locked in. I ended up spending around $30,000. After the installation, every maintenance visit came with aggressive attempts to sell me more services I did not need. Then the new system failed in 106 degree heat. The compressor failed at only 16 months old. Communication was poor, and I was left without AC for about seven days. I had to repeatedly chase them for updates. They did not have the part, did not follow up, and someone finally arrived at 10:30 PM after days of waiting. They gave me a two year complimentary membership as compensation. I assumed the membership would end after the two free years. My card on file had expired, yet in May and June 2026 the company suddenly began charging me again. This suggests someone manually updated my card information without my permission. I never authorized a renewal, never received a renewal notice, and never received invoices for any charges. They refunded the charges I caught, but then claimed I owed $95.80 for four months of fees that were never billed and never agreed to. I asked for written confirmation of a zero balance and never received a direct response. They only responded to the BBB and stated the account was at zero. Based on my experience with both service and billing, I strongly recommend being cautious before using this company.

First, you can tell the company is trying from a service standpoint. I had a whole house ventilating dehumidifier installed. Chase came out originally and gave me recommendations and a quote and was great. The installers were nice but there were a couple issues. The major issue is that they actually programmed the ventilating dehumidifier wrong to where it wasn’t ventilating air from the outside on a regular schedule. This is a SAFETY issue! This install replaced the fresh air intake so and my house is fairly tight and needs to be ventilated. I watched a video from the owner before booking. He said that 91% of the people that call them are because another hvac company installed something wrong and that they send someone as a follow up on every install to make sure things were installed correctly. No person was sent. I called and talked to 2 separate people who promised a call back that never came. Moderate issue, one of the installers dropped something heavy on the hardwood floors. I didn’t actually see the drop but heard it. My wife noticed the damage later right where I heard the drop. Minor issue, asked for the new supply and return registers to be centered on the ceiling. They weren’t able to center the register due to a beam, but never asked to see if another location would be better. Just looks bad but not the biggest issue. Edit: Still no follow up call even though I have been promised twice.

I recently had a new HVAC system installed by Rescue Air and had an excellent experience. Each part of the process, from diagnosis to sales and then installation, was smooth, efficient and highly professional. My (very old) prior system failed on a hot Sunday, and Rescue Air had Josh Irias out on my property within an hour of my call. He quickly identified the issue with the equipment and explained that the obsolescence of the refrigerant, together with the advanced age of the system, made replacement the only viable option. (And frankly, this came as no great surprise with a system well into its third decade.) At my request, Josh then immediately arranged for Chase Lowe to come right out, late on a Sunday afternoon, to assess my needs and evaluate the attic space where the new system would be installed. Chase then took plenty of time discussing my options and provided a detailed quote for my review. (I appreciated that he added no time pressure to a situation in which the customer faces enough inherent pressure to have AC restored ASAP.) With the itemized quote in hand I was able to determine by the following afternoon that the quote was within range for other local 5-star HVAC companies, and was ready to schedule installation. Rescue accommodated my request for a specific start time the following day, and sent experienced, efficient, and very friendly technicians--Austin, Ty, and Melvin--to my home for the installation. They kept me informed of their progress, showed respect for my home with both prep and cleanup, and clearly took pride in their work. And, of course, when they were done I had nice cold air! The Dallas area has quite a few highly-rated HVAC companies, all of whom have qualified techs to install top-tier equipment. What distinguished Rescue Air was their high level of responsiveness and prompt communication, both with me as a customer and within their organization. I will now also have them do my HVAC maintenance and hope to experience the same level of customer service they provided for installation.

We’ve been using Rescue Air for nearly a decade, and their service continues to earn our business. Their technicians have consistently been professional, knowledgeable, and respectful of our home. What gives this review credibility is that we don’t automatically hire them out of loyalty. For major projects, we still get multiple bids and compare our options. Rescue Air is rarely the lowest-priced proposal, but their workmanship, professionalism, and ability to clearly explain different solutions have repeatedly justified the investment. I especially appreciate that they present multiple options instead of pushing a single recommendation. I’m generally cautious when it comes to HVAC and plumbing companies because the industry has a reputation for upselling and recommending replacements when repairs may still be viable. Before finding Rescue Air, I rarely gave any service company repeat business for that reason. Over time, some companies become complacent with long-term customers. With Rescue Air, I’ve experienced the opposite. They have continued to earn our trust through consistent service, transparent recommendations, and quality work. Most recently, they replaced our second 20-year-old air conditioner after having replaced the first one several years ago and our furnace a few years after that. At this point, they have essentially replaced our entire HVAC system over time. The quality of the installation was impressive, and the attention to detail was evident throughout the project.Greg stood out because he had such a positive attitude and good mood while he was at our home. He was attentive to our questions and conversational. He was thoughtful in explaining what was done after the install. In an industry where trust can be difficult to establish, Rescue Air has managed to maintain ours for nearly ten years—not because they are the cheapest option, but because they continue to deliver the quality and professionalism we expect.
