I was supposed to hear back in the morning yesterday and never heard a thing. I followed up a around lunch and was told that the parts were on backorder and that they couldn't fix my AC for 3 weeks. I asked of the part numbers to try to locate it myself. I still haven't heard a word. I still don't know if any of the parts are under warranty--the tech was supposed to know that yesterday morning as well. Forget talking with your Tech, you'll get sent through dispatch and they don't know anything useful. Had my tech called back, perhaps we could have found an alternate part number. Instead, it's 101 degrees and there is no air conditioning for three weeks? Stranded Air and Plumbing would be a better name because no one is coming to the rescue.

I'm very happy with my air conditioner. It's 2 years old and works well. But the compressor got clogged and that was shutting down my A/C (I didn't know this however). The service call was $129, which is on the expensive end. He diagnosed the problem in less than 10 minutes and said he needed to clean the compressor. It was $400ish just to wash it off with a water hose. He did have to take off the housing (not "take it completely apart" like he said it was going to require). It took him less than 30 minutes from start to finish, and the service charge could not be folded in to the total cost. So it was a total of $595 for 30 minutes of work, which consisted of spraying it with a hose. I asked Gemini how much this should cost and Gemini said between $100 - $250 depending on of they had to take it apart. Excessively overcharged, would not fold the service charge into the cost. I give 2 stars instead of 1 because the A/C is great, but the service costs aftwards are ridiculous. I canceled my service plan with them because every time they came out to do a service check, they would "recommend" about $800 worth of completely unnecessary services (none of which were cleaning the compressor). So in my opinion, after they install the A/C they need to figure out some way to extract money from you.

Melvin and Jose are 10/10 HVAC technicians. The professionalism and dedication to their job goes above and beyond. I would recommend these techs plus Rescue Air to anyone looking for competitive pricing and quality products. They saved us from the Texas August heatwave. Chase Lowe came and spent time with my husband trying to fix what we had. Didn’t try to sell anything to him. This company has honest and hard working people that work for you. Not trying to upsell you on their services. Truly want to help you and what you need. Thank you, Chase Lowe. Thank you to all the staff at Rescue Air for making this one of the best decisions for our home. Ray and Angelina Pesina 08/21/2026

On August 11, 2026, AC Rescue Inc., a subcontractor assigned through American Home Shield (AHS), sent a technician to my home to diagnose my air-conditioning issue. The technician stated that he would submit a request for the needed part and that it should be received within 2 to 5 days. When I contacted AHS to check the repair status, I was told that AHS had not received an estimate or request from AC Rescue Inc. AC Rescue did not submit the request to order the part until August 14, 2026—three days after the service visit. At that point, I was also told that AC Rescue could not repair the AC. This was extremely frustrating. I relied on the information provided during the August 11 visit and reasonably believed that the repair was already moving forward. The delay in submitting the request, followed by AC Rescue’s statement that it could not complete the repair, unnecessarily prolonged the time my home was without working air conditioning.

I don’t give one-star reviews, but I did not have a good experience with this company. I was told my furnace had issues, my A/C was too old, and that they couldn’t find a compatible compressor for it. Nearly every issue they brought up seemed to lead back to the same recommendation: replace the entire HVAC system. I got two additional opinions afterward. Both told me the furnace was fine, that finding a compatible compressor for my unit was not particularly difficult, and that they repair older systems like mine regularly. Both were realistic that, given the age of the system, I should be prepared for a full replacement sometime in the next few years — which I completely understand. I ultimately had the compressor replaced for $2,750 total, including labor and refrigerant, and the A/C is now working again. Even the compressor replacement quote I received from this company was considerably higher than the other estimates (had they been able to find one in stock). I’m not saying there was malicious intent, but my experience felt much more focused on selling a full system replacement than finding a reasonable repair option. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to a full replacement.
