These are my own words and no one is compensating me for them (though I wouldn't mind if they did). I usually don't write lengthy reviews but my foundation repair search process was so extensive, I felt the need to share my experience.
First of all, I had the preconceived notion that Ram Jack was going to try to sell me a bunch of crap I didn't need for a ridiculous amount of money and smother me with a heavy dose of sales pressure. However, that was not the case at all.
Terry Harrell called me a few hours before my scheduled inspection appointment and asked for permission to come early, since his last inspection ended quickly, due to the homeowner not needing any foundation work. Terry was quick and efficient. It may have taken him 30 to 40 minutes to do his inspection and he called me over. I braced myself for what he was about to say and prepared myself for the outrageous sales pitch. It never came. He showed me a straight-forward plan to fix my foundation and had me watch a short video about Ram Jack and how their piers are made. When he told me the price, I immediately thought, "well, that's not too bad!"
I had 8 inspections done by various companies. The estimates I received were $5.1k (for trash concrete piles), $11.5k, $11.7k, $17.4k, $18.9k, $25.1k, $26.7k, and $44k. Ram Jack's estimate was $17.4k for 10 helical piers, which are composed of American-made steel and protected by a thermoplastic coating (I feel like an expert after all of my research). As you can see, Ram Jack falls on the lower-end of the range. That isn't bad considering Ram Jack's piers are ICC-ES certified. I figured that was just some marketing fluff until further research told me otherwise.
Some of the other companies were playing pricing games and offering me a percentage off the original quote. All that told me is that they over-quoted me and are now lowering it to where it should have been to begin with. After giving it a lot of thought, I was most interested in Ram Jack so I attempted to get a lower price. They wouldn't budge and I actually respect that. Why? It tells me they aren't playing games and their price is their price.
I accepted the bid and Leandra reached out to me about paying a 20% deposit. The remainder is due post-install.
One week before the install, a quality control manager from the Dallas area, David Zieschang, came to my house to perform an additional inspection. He was very nice, talkative, and very knowledgeable. He, like Terry, was quick and efficient with his inspection. He was also very thorough and took the time to explain things. Two days later, I received a stamped engineering report with an updated plan and further recommendations.
Fast forward to the installation date or shall I say the day before what was supposed to be the installation date? The crew from Dallas was already in Houston and the Houston admin, Yesenia, texted me and asked if they could get a headstart on things. I agreed and a crew of three guys, led by Emanuel, showed up a few hours later. They got right to work. Emanuel was patient and willingly answered all of my questions. The crew worked quickly and efficiently and completed about 50% of the work in about 6 hours, if my memory serves me right. They covered things up and left for the night.
They were back the next morning at 8am, ready to go. It took them about another 6 hours, minus lunch, to finish. In my opinion, they did an excellent job! Also, I must mention that I was very impressed with the quality of their helical piers, which they drove to a depth of 28 feet! During the install, it was revealed that my newly-purchased home had prior foundation work done with concrete piles, which obviously did not do the job! I can't yet speak for the longevity of Ram Jack's piers but I certainly have no regrets in my decision to go with Ram Jack.

Update:
I changed my rating from a 5 to a 2 star, because the more damages I find and have to repair, the angrier I get. Yes, they will repair your foundation and I am sure they are the best company to do so however they destroyed my fence, gutters, a foundation slab and now my water main just revealed it was broken durring this project as well. The amount of money I have had to pay for repairs, on top of paying them over $20k, is redicouls. All I got for these troubles was a $100 gift card that took a month to get to me. They will indeed fix your foundation, however keep in mind, you will be paying much more than just their charges. And good luck getting any assistance from them. The General Manager couldn't even get back to me, durring the initial issues of them destroying my property durring the work.
I recently had my foundation repaired by Ram Jack. The first point of contact was Trevor and he is fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable and can easily show you why Ram Jack is the best. The work was completely by three gentleman within two days. Very interesting to watch and observe, in real time, why I made the best choice for my home. There were some hiccups, however after speaking to Bobby Torres, things were made right and he was very appreciative of our Buisness and understood the importance of the matter at hand. If you are looking for a cheap fix, then this is not the company for you. If you are looking to never have foundation issues again, then call today and ask for Trevor! My home is one a several in the US, that has American Made steel beams all the way down to solid bedrock, supporting my foundation. If you live in Houston or the surrounding areas, you know how important that is.
