  Monday morning at 8:00 my 85 year old grandmother that lives just down the road from me calls me at work. She tells me her garage where her Waterwell and irrigation plumbing is located is flooded about ankle deep and water is spraying onto the ceiling and wall where her breaker switches are. I’m an hour away and can’t help her turn the big valve off to stop the water flow. She called jd plumbing and they told her to cut the power to the pump. Somehow she managed to do so without getting electrocuted. They the came out to inspect the issue. They found a failed fitting leading up to the intake side of her irrigation pump. The tech went all over town trying to find this fitting and couldn’t find it. After his failure to find the correct fitting, he returned and told my grandmother that the part that failed was part of the pump and that they don’t make them anymore. He quoted her a $1000 to get a new pump. She can’t afford that and told the tech as such and asked if he can patch it. He did so, refitting the failed fitting and charging her $300 for it. 24 hours later it blew apart again. Same fitting of course. After I got home from work that Tuesday, I go look at it myself instead of spending or being quoted another unnecessary lump sum. I find that the fitting that was reinstalled was an ELECTRICAL CONDUIT FITTING. For $24, I went to Home Depot, bought three fittings and a section of 1-1/4 pipe and remade the entire failed section. I’m 24, hold zero certifications for anything, and have no higher education. I shouldn’t be more capable than a certified plumber. I called to ask why a repair that was made with no used parts and a reinstalled incompatible part that failed in 24 hours, flooding the garage a second time was worth $300 and was told the billing department would give me a call back to settle it the next day. Call never came. I called again to affirm my displeasure. Was told I’d receive a call the next day. That call didn’t come either. So bad review it is. Don’t fire the tech, I’m sure he needs the job, but don’t try to sell an elderly woman on something she doesn’t need and try to think of other combinations of parts and fittings that you can use to achieve the same end goal.

  The "technician" was 45 min late. I left work early to make sure I was on time for the appointment. This cost me valuable work and project hours, which would have been ok....if the "technician" would shown up on time, quoted me a fair price and had completed the job. It would have been worth it. Unfortunately for me, the technician wanted to charge me $500 to "run a snake down the drain". He was so confident a snake would fix the problem that he said he'd do it for free if it didn't work. $500 to run a snake down the drain and 45 min late on top of that. I immediately called their office to express my concern. The woman was NOT empathetic at all. Instead she proceeded to begin to make excuses for the situation so I immediately got off the phone with her. This has been the most rude, insulting, unprofessional and inconsiderate experience I have had with any service I've ever hired. I do NOT recommend using JD Precision Plumbing & Air, especially since there are MANY other options out there.

  I have tried to contact this company by phone and on their website and they have never contacted me. They did work on a hot water heater that was under warranty and I was needing a break down of the parts and labor. They charged a total of 1153.00 one part you can buy at home depot for 34.95. Not a friendly company. Had to look at the price on his I-pad and print off my own receipt after he left. I will never use them again and I will always have a break down from anyone that is to do service.
