  Riley from Malek came to inspect the AC/heating unit that Malek had installed one year earlier. He said everything was working as it should and the one thing he noted was that the piece of plywood under it was looking aged and might should be replaced. I said well it looks the same as it did when the new unit was put in a year ago so I think they probably should’ve put a new piece of wood under it when they installed the unit. But other than that, Malek seems to be a very good reliable company, and Riley was very nice to talk with.

  Dominic is the HVAC technician who came to my house. He did not examine the AC unit inside. He went outside to check the AC unit. He put some gauges on and came back telling me that my coils caused all the freons to leak out and I need a replacement AC that would cost $10-12 K. I had another tech come out, he looked at the indoor AC and told me the coils are inside and there is no way that the freons were leaking. He discovered the real issue was that I needed a new blower motor that would cost $300. I had him do the work and now my AC is fully functional. Dominic did NOT do a proper assessment of my AC unit. He was deceptive and lazy. I do not recommend him at all. I paid my consultation fee and was glad for him to leave.

  Dominic and his team member were pleasant to work with. They were thorough in the services completed. Both individuals took the time to explain to my husband and I the work that was being done in great detail so that we understood the additional work needed to be done and reason for the associated costs. Dominic was very helpful and patient navigating and explaining financing options. Would certainly recommend Malek services and Dominic to others!

  Malek is now using A.I. to answer your phone call. Not an automated menu of how your call should be directed. You have to have a full "conversation" with "Brock", complete with fake ambient noise and typing in the background. I don't support companies that put local people out of work and that invest in data centers, light pollution and the draining of our precious water supply and destruction of our environment. Shame on Malek. I cancelled my appointment with Malek. I won't spend my money with such an irresponsible company.

  This place is not great, we have had ONE good tech who helped us replace our blower motor under warranty, we have also had a tech who purposely spilled oil next the the refrigerant ports on our condenser and told us we had a leak, which we didn't, and we had never had a leak there before. Refused repairs and had no issues with a/c all year. Called them this year just for a quick check over. Guy told me everything was good no issues to fix. He said I had some spots were the sealing on our plenum was leaking air and it would cause condensation and a leak eventually that could cause roof damage. But not a big deal apparently. A day after he leaves my a/c freezes, I have to go in the attic and suck all the water out of the over flow pan. Turn the a/c off and let it unfreeze. And here I am a few days later and its frozen again, I know the pan is full of water again because my over flow is leaking again. Back into the attic I go. I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but after using them 4 times and half those times I have been lied to or my a/c has worked worse after they left. Before they checked it my a/c was not freezing and had no problem. Last night it could barely keep the house at 78 degrees. Now I have to either troubleshoot it myself or call someone else. Do yourself a favor and dont use them. The service is a great price but not for all the headache i go through after they touch my a/c unit.
