  Very disappointing experience with the builder and warranty department. Unfortunately, our experience after purchasing our home has been extremely frustrating. We have had multiple issues with the construction and getting warranty items addressed. Our patio flooded, and when we reported it, we were told it was supposedly caused by our dog. At the time, she was just a puppy and did not dig, so it was incredibly frustrating to have the issue dismissed instead of properly investigated. There were also several items that were supposed to be repaired after closing that were never taken care of. We practically had to babysit and continuously follow up with them for almost a year just to get some trim replaced. Within only a few months of living in the home, parts of the flooring started coming up/separating. When we contacted warranty, we were told it was simply due to the home “naturally shifting.” Again, instead of addressing the problem, we felt like we were given an explanation for why they weren’t responsible. More recently, we hired a contractor to redo our grass and discovered a significant amount of construction trash and debris buried underneath the grass. That was extremely disappointing to find and raised even more concerns about the quality and care that went into finishing our property. Now we are dealing with an ongoing problem with our gas water heater shutting off. We already had the sensor replaced and the pilot assembly cleaned, and our plumber has told us the issue appears to be related to ventilation in the attic where the water heater was installed. We have also learned that other homeowners in our neighborhood with homes from the same builder are experiencing similar water-heater issues. A new home should not require this much chasing, repairing, and arguing over problems so soon after closing. My biggest frustration isn’t simply that issues happened—things can go wrong with any new construction. It’s the lack of accountability and how difficult it has been to get concerns properly addressed. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing from this builder get an independent inspection, document absolutely everything, and stay on top of every warranty request in writing.

  We had an amazing experience working with Donnie and the entire team. From start to finish, they made the home buying process feel smooth and stress free. Donnie was always responsive, patient, and genuinely cared about making sure we understood every step along the way. Communication was clear and consistent, which gave us so much confidence throughout the process. Anytime we had questions, they were answered quickly and thoroughly. It truly felt like we had someone in our corner the entire time. We’re so grateful for all the guidance and support and couldn’t have asked for a better team to help us find our home. I would absolutely recommend Donnie to anyone looking to buy a home.

  Great home buying experience start to finish. Donnie and Logan were very knowledgeable and explained everything along the way. The build was completed on schedule and turned out amazing.

  Donnie was an absolute professional to work with on a very challenging transaction with many moving parts. He was consistently responsive, communicated clearly and honestly, and remained solution oriented from start to finish. No matter the obstacle, he picked up the phone every time (even on his day off) and was always willing to help move things forward. His professionalism, work ethic, and high standards were evident throughout the entire process. I truly appreciated his collaboration and dedication, and I would not hesitate to work with him again or recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and committed professional.

  I have nothing but praise for my experience with now DRB (was Brightland). Donnie Moseley was incredibly helpful, usually immediately available to answer any questions and direct us through each process. He spent a lot of time working with us to align the conditions we were looking for, with the home we purchased. Logan, who was assigned to close our house issues was also incredibly helpful and friendly. I don't understand why there's any negative reviews as everyone has a chance to go through their house prior to closing (we hired our own contractor to review the home for an initial review). The few simple things we found were fixed immediately. Some selling points for me, the look of the house and the neighborhood that include DRB homes, the upper floors are Engineered Beams ( same height I Section is stronger than traditional upright rectangular beam), and the price point of the home is very competitive as we looked everywhere. We chose to buy a new home, instead of what we fell victim to previously... inheriting other peoples problems. When everything goes well I don't think about leaving a review because I'm busy, but when I feel that the product didn't meet expectations, I'm very quick to issue a review, making my voice heard (I think we've all been there). But I'm very happy and excited with our purchase, experience and home.
