Texas Heat and Air very good! American Home Shield on this type of service call bad! Please read this! My A/C went out on a Friday night. I have a home warranty with American Home Shield (AHS), so I contacted them for my issue. My call was assigned to Texas Heat and Air of Cleburne, TX. I received a text Saturday morning stating that a technician was scheduled for Monday between 8 am and 5 pm. My call was placed Friday, July 5th. It was HOT! I was surprised that no one coming until Monday. Come to find out the reason that they did not come out sooner was not the fault of Texas Heat and Air. The issue was American Home Shield. They did not deem this to be an urgent call, therefore they would not pay for Texas Heat and Air to come out over the weekend. I made a call to to AHS daily and only spoke to people in another country who followed the scripted responses. Nothing happened until first thing Monday. I had left 2 messages with Texas Heat and Air. I got to speak with the owner, Terry. He was very professional, and he also explained the process of AHS. He was very respectful and also honest. He responded according to the way AHS submitted the service call. Terry sent out David by 10:00 am Wednesday. David came in and asked the right questions and listened to what i told him attentively. Within 30 minutes, he had fixed my problem. My husband and I were pretty sure that we would have to wait another day for the repair as they likely would need a part, but David had they part on his truck. Yay! He was professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. Thank you David for listening. knowledge, and the quick repair. Temps in the house were 84 to 91 degrees all weekend. Thank you Terry for listening, honest explanations, and doing what you said you would do.

The guys here have been the best. They have helped move through an extremely stressful situation. Above and beyond and I'm incredibly greatful for all they've done.

Technician was rude and tried to upsell. Called the owner and he was just as rude and tried to tell same thing his tech did. All I wanted was a solution to my problem and get my house cooling again they did add Freon, but argued with me as to what my warranty would cover. At the end of it I told the owner I asked warranty that someone else cover my warranty and he stated he didn’t want my business anyway since I was being difficult by just asking to fix my current issue without trying to upsell me. I’ve seen similar comments on Facebook. Proceed with caution!!!

If I could give this company zero stars I would! AHS sent them out to repair our AC. They sent out 2 teenage boys that had no clue what they were doing and had to call for help. First they said we possibly had a leak in freon. But due to the old unit we had we would still be out of almost 5K for freon! Not even including fixing the “possible” leak. They then tell us our unit is old and would be better off to replace. They send us a quote. We had to call to find out what AHS was covering. Guy says “oh yea, I forgot to add that” then takes off $632 of a 13k unit!!! No one explained anything to us. These people would not return phone calls. The day they were scheduled to come out no one showed and when we finally called to see what was going on the guy acted surprised and said he had no knowledge of us being scheduled even though I had a text message. He tells us he had not received the PO to order the new system and that he would get back with us. He never called us back! There more, but I’ll stop there. We ended up cancelling their service’s all together because at that point we going on 2 weeks with no AC and still no solid answer on when we would be getting it, on top of the home warranty wasn’t really saving us much money anyways. We decided we’d going to be investing 13k plus into a new AC unit we may as well pick a company we can trust and that has good customer service. Trust me when I say, the pennies you think your saving by using AHS and using this company is NOT WORTH IT!!! We went with another company, that had much better service and ended up coming about the same actually cheaper because we got a much better interest rate with their financing! Avoid American Home Shield and Texas Heat and air at all cost. You can’t pit a price tag on peace of mind when it comes to such a major investment
