  We have always had a great experience with McCullough Heating and Air. When our system had issues in the very beginning of summer, they were able to respond very quickly and our first technician Josh Henderson, was very helpful in addressing the problem within the same day. Then, we later had a preventative HVAC inspection and some corresponding service done by Blake Eastland. We didn’t feel any pressure to purchase the services, but rather informed about some potential options to help mitigate the issues with how the new construction home builders cut serious corners with the installation of our HVAC system. It’s never fun to have to put money into air conditioning, but McCullough made the process as painless as possible. Would definitely recommend them

  My old HVAC system was at the end of it's life in 2024. After a few estimates, I chose McCullough to replace it. A 2-stage 2 zone Carrier system was installed and has been a great decision. Because of problems with the original ductwork, everything feeding the second story was also replaced. The new system is very efficient, reducing my cooling bill significantly. A small problem popped up and the technician was able to diagnose and repair it very quickly. The price was reasonable considering the extent of the work. I enrolled in twice a year maintenance and have had no additional costs. It's a great company with well trained and considerate people. I highly recommend McCullough for installation, repairs and maintenance.

  Had your tech come out because the (smart) thermostat shut down and turned black. Understand our unit we had you put in is les than 3yrs old. Apparently it shut down because the runoff condescension Tray was backing up with water and plugged up. $330 to fix the problem (seems really excessive) and then told the capacitor on my less than 3yr old unit would need to be replaced because its going to go out costing another $170. My old unit lasted 26yrs, backed up with water one time and replaced a capacitor three times in its last 6yrs. Makes me wonder about this new unit I spent over 10 grand on... Your tech was very nice.

  Kelvin from McCullough Heating and Air came out for a deep-dive evaluation of our system and was excellent from start to finish. Rather than just pushing me toward an expensive fix, he walked me through every step of his diagnostic, ran real troubleshooting, and even reached out to colleagues for a second opinion to make sure we got it right. He was friendly, thorough, and genuinely investigative — a real problem solver who clearly cared about understanding the actual root cause instead of guessing. What stood out most was that he didn’t want me spending money unnecessarily. No gimmicks, no upsells, just honest evaluation and straightforward solutions. My last company did just the opposite, which is how I ended up needing a second opinion in the first place — so Kelvin’s transparency meant a lot. He earned my trust and my future business by delivering real value. If you want someone who treats your home like it’s their own and gives it to you straight, ask for Kelvin. Highly recommended.

  Just finished my project and had a great experience overall. I shopped around with all local, reputable companies and McCullough really blew everyone out of the water. My project manager Peter was knowledgeable and had a no pressure, educational approach. He was the only sales rep that took the time to fully explain the Austin Energy rebate program. By leveraging the program, I was able to get a new dual stage HVAC unit, attic insulation AND brand new duct work for less money than the next best priced proposal that only included a new unit. The rebate program also offers 0% interest financing for 10 years, which was by far the best financing offer from all the bids I received. All of the install technicians were very professional and courteous. Jimmy the supervisor ensured everything was up to their high standards of quality and inspection ready. You will be hard pressed to find another company in Austin that is not private equity owned, has a no pressure/professional sales process and high quality installation for a great price.
