I rarely leave negative reviews, but after four years and approximately 20 service visits, I feel other homeowners should know about our experience.
Our upstairs air conditioning has never been properly repaired. The same problem continues to recur: the upstairs remains hot, humid, and receives very little airflow, especially in our children’s bedrooms. Despite repeated service calls over several years, the underlying issue has never been resolved.
During the most recent visit, I inspected the attic myself and found the condition shown in the attached photos. The ductwork adjacent to the air handler has exposed insulation, torn duct material, and appears to have been repeatedly patched rather than permanently repaired. Regardless of whether this is the root cause of our airflow problem, this is not the level of workmanship I expected after so many service calls.
What has been most disappointing is not that a difficult problem existed—complex HVAC issues happen. It’s that after approximately 20 visits over four years, no one appears to have performed a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation of the system or permanently corrected the problem. We have continued to experience the same lack of airflow upstairs while paying for repeated service.
At this point, we have lost confidence that Davis Air Conditioning can identify and resolve the underlying issue. We are now seeking another HVAC company to perform a complete airflow and ductwork evaluation.
I sincerely hope Davis uses this feedback to improve its service, but based on our experience, I cannot recommend them.

They called me and confirmed it was possible to get parts so I scheduled a diagnostic visit. I will add to this review after the visit.

James is a great professional technician. Clear on what the issue was and very understandable with the customer that is an elderly lady. He took all the time needed to explain to her what was happening and the issue with the unit. Also very honest with the diagnosis.
I will choose Davis AC time and time again. Thank you for the prompt response.
Rudy was prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, thorough, and friendly. He found the blown capacitor quickly and replaced it with checks to see that there were no other problems.

Matt was awesome! I've had him service our home before and was equally impressed! I've had nothing but positive interactions with the Davis organization!
