- NKNick KingOct 30, 20261.0My family has lived in McNairy county for years, and I can't say service from PEC has ever been great. But this latest incident is ridiculous As you probably know, PEC uses a contractor to collect online payments. Last month, when I paid the bill, it immediately flashed up saying the payment was rejected, followed by a message saying my payment was received. I then received an email receipt, and noticed the money was gone from my account. Now, 3 weeks later, with no notification at all, my power has been shut off. I contacted the payment contractor, and they admitted they had issues with some payments, and that last months payment was NOT accepted. After getting that taken care of, I tried to contact PEC to inquire when it might get my power back, and of course, the phone just rings with no answer. Since it's Friday I'm assuming I either won't get power returned until Monday, or that there are additional fees that will be assessed to an issue that was in no way my fault. This is in addition to my power constantly shutting off and coming back on nearly every night at midnight. I've almost been late to work several times because the power goes off for no reason and resets my alarm and every clock in the house nearly every night at midnight.
