After extensive research on Generac generators and authorized dealers, I decided I wanted to work with a company that could be a single source for install prep, install, start up and yearly service for maintenance. After contacting four companies for info and bids, I chose Hughes Electric. James Hughes was straightforward, pleasant and sitting across from him, I could read he is a man of his word. After I signed with him, he proved he was just that. His entire staff from Tammy in the office, Juan, his electrical crew, Art, his plumbing crew were quite impressive with their expertise and efficiency. I rarely write reviews but in this case due to the exceptional performance of these folks, felt this was certainly earned for them. This company is a very wise choice.

After receiving 10 estimates from different companies, being shocked by various unreasonable prices offered, let alone finding out business addresses of some of these companies were empty fields of nowhere on Google map, I finally came across Hughes Electrical & HVAC Services, LLC. All technicians were direct employees of Mr. Hughes, not contractors, and that one thing, was one of the precise reasons why I made my decision to choose Mr. Hughes’s company as my Generac installer. I was utterly impressed by Mr. Hughes's knowledge, which was like a textbook regarding generators, his extremely competitive estimate - the lowest estimate of all, and detailed explanation for all aspects of using a generator. Due to some consecutive days of heavy rain, Mr. Trent who had to find a babysitter for his child did my gas lines on a Saturday. And, my generator was ready just in time before a three-day power outage caused by a severe storm this summer. Technicians of Hughes Electrical & HVAC Services, LLC and Mr. Hughes probably haven’t realized how huge their help is, what I want to say is that they are angels in human forms.

This has been a long time coming but Hughes Electric is the way to go for a home generator install. We've had the generator for three years, used it several times, and are always thankful that we have it. The person who came through for the initial quote explained everything including how much power we actually needed for our house. Install took about 3 days and the techs that did the work were quick and efficient. After the install, someone came by and explained how the generator worked and demonstrated how quick it kicks it during power loss. Today, we had another power loss, which is not uncommon for our area. I contacted them and they replied quickly with an answer that was very reassuring. If you need a home generator installed, use Hughes Electric. I definitely will use them again if I move houses.
