  We had a very mixed experience with Window World of Knoxville. First, the positives: we are very happy with the quality of the windows themselves, and that is ultimately what earned this review three stars instead of fewer. I especially want to recognize Ryan, who was caught in the middle of much of this process. He was consistently responsive, courteous, and genuinely tried to help move the project forward in a positive way. Throughout an eleven-month project, he remained professional and treated us with respect. We sincerely appreciate his efforts. Unfortunately, the overall project was marked by repeated ordering and quality-control issues. What should have been a straightforward installation turned into multiple reorders, repeated manufacturing errors, several return visits, and ongoing delays. Each correction visit seemed to uncover another mistake, making it difficult to feel confident that the project was finally complete. Even windows ordered specifically to correct previous errors arrived with new issues—including another incorrectly manufactured window during what was supposed to be one of the final correction visits. By the time everything was finally completed, the process had taken nearly eleven months from contract to completion. To Window World’s credit, they ultimately acknowledged that the project had not gone as planned by providing a price adjustment. We appreciated that they recognized there had been problems. However, the way those problems were managed left us disappointed. After sending a detailed certified letter outlining our concerns, we received a written response from the owner but never received a phone call or personal follow-up to discuss what had happened. The response stated that he would work with the window manufacturer regarding additional compensation and pass along anything they provided directly to us, but we never received any explanation of how the final adjustment was determined. More importantly, after nearly a year of repeated disruptions, we never felt there was a genuine effort from ownership to personally resolve the situation. To be clear, we don’t place the responsibility on the installation crews. They were installing the products and following the layout and numbering system they had been provided. From our perspective, the recurring issues stemmed from ordering, manufacturing, and quality-control problems rather than the installers themselves. Ryan continued to do everything he reasonably could to help us navigate those issues. Beyond the manufacturing errors, the repeated visits created a significant disruption to our daily lives. We opened our home to contractors over and over again, repeatedly moved furniture away from nearly every window, rearranged our schedules, and lived through months of uncertainty wondering whether the next visit would finally resolve everything. Even today, when we look at our windows, we are reminded that we accepted compromises simply because we wanted the project to end. Based on our experience, I would encourage prospective customers to ask detailed questions about how correction orders and quality-control issues are handled if problems arise. We truly like the final product, but reaching that point required far more patience than we ever expected. While we appreciate Ryan’s professionalism and are pleased with the quality of the windows themselves, we did not experience the level of communication, accountability, or customer care from company leadership that we believe should accompany a project of this size. Based on our overall experience, we would not choose Window World again.
