- CJCorey JamesSep 6, 20251.0I regret choosing Richmond American Homes for my new build in Columbia, TN. From start to finish, the experience has been nothing short of frustrating. The quality of the home is extremely poor, and I’ve had multiple issues with the workmanship. Also, you can't trust the reviews as I see the builder has his family putting the good reviews. 1000% WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
- NWNate WintersJun 12, 20252.0Poor quality and very little attention to detail. I closed three weeks ago and found a crack in the window sash that started behind the vinyl lip. As it got hotter outside, it’s started to run and now I can see it. They are making me fight to have it replaced. Not to mention, the paint splatter everywhere, Sheetrock mud build up, bad caulking job all around and a sliding door that will not close. I was told that you have to close it softly in order for it to work. I didn’t take that answer and still waiting for a fix. Broken blinds installed and missed during walkthrough because it was on the outside track. List goes on and on. I’ve fixed most of the bad craftsmanship myself being a former contractor. Started to hang a light and found the electrical box is not secured and just sitting in the hole, etc. The communication is not great and have to ask multiple times for a response or a plan to get some sort of response.

If it is the model you want your choices are only what has been built. All future builds are being optioned by them only. The lot sizes are generous for a production housing development like this, and it is near the freeway.
