A Disastrous Experience with Undersun Roofing: Overpromised, Under-Delivered, and Unprofessional
It is with a heavy heart that I recount my incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience with Undersun Roofing. What began as a hopeful partnership with a veteran and woman-owned company turned into an absolute nightmare of incompetence, lack of oversight, and unprofessional behavior. The litany of failures I encountered with Undersun Roofing is astounding, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal to caution others who might consider engaging their services.
From the very beginning, Undersun Roofing overpromised and under-delivered on what they would accomplish within the scope of work. The work they did manage to schedule was far from complete when their crew finally showed up on site. To make matters worse, there was an utter lack of oversight for the crew. On some occasions, they idled away their time, extending their presence well into the evening while accomplishing absolutely nothing. It was a clear demonstration of their disregard for our time and expectations.
The owner's apparent overwhelmed state became painfully obvious as we faced constant delays in the project schedule. What should have been a seamless transition from bid to execution turned into a recurring cycle of being pushed back repeatedly. Despite their assurance that we would be prioritized, the project did not commence until July, despite our initial engagement with them back in April. Their excuse of weather-related setbacks fell flat when considering the damage to our property that needed urgent attention.
The lack of professional communication and proper scheduling was an ongoing frustration. Their promises to visit for appointments were consistently broken without any advance notice or attempt to reschedule. It was we who had to relentlessly pursue them to get any semblance of a response or commitment. This level of disregard for basic communication norms was unfathomable.
Moreover, attempting to convey instructions to the crew was an exercise in futility. The difficulty in communication had nothing to do with language barriers but rather stemmed from the fact that the crew appeared to be utterly clueless about what needed to be done. This exposed a lack of training, direction, and overall professionalism on their part.
One incident that epitomized the unprofessionalism of Undersun Roofing was when the owner admitted that the only reason she finally answered my call was because she mistook me for her caterer. This came after numerous unanswered texts and calls, leaving me disheartened and questioning my decision to hire them as my confidence was shattered by the reality of their incompetence and lack of commitment.
In conclusion, my encounter with Undersun Roofing has left me disillusioned and utterly dissatisfied. Their overpromising, under-delivering, and unprofessional conduct have tarnished any initial positive perceptions I had. I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice and look elsewhere for a company that values professionalism, communication, and customer commitment. My experience with Undersun Roofing was a lesson in how appearances can be deceiving, and I can confidently say that I would never consider working with them again.
I'm wondering if we had gone through our insurance company or needed our entire roof replaced would we have received the type of service from the reviews that others have left.
