Same day service and an excellent price with great service!
I called a couple of places before calling A-1. The first charged a fee just come out and look and was about an hour overdue before letting me know they were waiting on a mechanic for their truck. The second couldn’t service my area. By the time I called A-1 I was a little frustrated. Shane got me in the same day and provided excellent service. I had thought I had a septic access but I was wrong. This didn’t change the service. Some companies would have had to reschedule for my error. A-1 had everything with them and got to work, dug an access, and drained our septic tank. I will use them for all future septic needs and highly recommend them. Thanks again Shane!

Was in need of getting someone very quickly to empty our septic tank because it was backing up into house. We had tried several people in Abbeville and Greenwood, but all said it would be several days before they could come. A1 was the only one said they would be out the same day we called and the showed up and did a good job in taking care of our problem and at a reasonable price. We will most likely call on them again in the future.

Great guys to work with. Rather than “upsell me” on a new septic field system which would have cost considerably more and resulted in my front yard being completely dug up, Shane and his partner quickly diagnosed where the blockage was in my septic line and with minimal disruption to the extensive landscaping on my property, cleared the blockage and got our system back up and running quickly and at a fraction of the cost. They were great to work with…..honest and very straightforward. I would highly recommend A-1 Septic!

A-1 saved us a ton of time and stress by repairing our septic so quickly and efficiently. They were in and out in 4 hours and spread the dirt back and seeded grass for us. They even fit it in the very next day when we explained our emergency. We are grateful and highly recommend this company! Thanks, guys!
Frequently Asked Questions About A-1 Septic & Drain Field Repair, LLC
How do I know if my drain field needs to be serviced?
A clear indication that your drain field may require servicing is the presence of water puddles in your yard that are not caused by rainfall. This could signify potential issues with your septic system's drainage capabilities.
What causes issues with drain fields?
The primary cause of drain field problems is inadequate septic tank maintenance, particularly infrequent pumping. Regular upkeep is crucial to prevent complications in your septic system's drain field.
How do I know if I need to get my septic system replaced?
Signs that your septic system may need replacement include poor drainage, unpleasant odors, and recurring issues. Our team can provide a thorough, impartial assessment to determine whether repair or replacement is the most suitable option for your situation.
How often should I have my septic tank pumped?
The general recommendation is to pump your septic tank every two years. However, this frequency can vary based on factors such as tank size, household occupancy, and water usage habits. For instance, homes using garbage disposals may require more frequent pumping. Regular pumping is essential to prevent excessive solid buildup, which can lead to costly drain field issues.
What are the common signs that my sewer line might be in trouble?
Several indicators suggest potential sewer line problems. These include multiple slow drains throughout your home, sewage odors inside or outside the house, gurgling sounds from toilets or drains, sewage backing up into sinks or bathtubs, and unexplained lush or wet areas in your yard along the sewer line's path.
What is a septic system inspection, and why is it important?
A septic system inspection involves a comprehensive evaluation of your septic tank and its components to ensure proper functionality. During this process, a professional examines the tank, pipes, and drain field for leaks, blockages, or damage signs. Regular inspections are crucial as they help prevent costly repairs, system failures, and environmental contamination. Additionally, they ensure efficient system operation and can extend the overall lifespan of your septic system.
What's the difference between traditional sewer line repair and trenchless repair methods?
Traditional sewer line repair involves excavating a trench to expose the damaged section, removing the old pipe, and installing a new one. While effective, this method can be disruptive to landscaping and structures. Trenchless repair methods, such as pipe lining or pipe bursting, are less invasive. Pipe lining inserts a resin-coated pipe inside the existing one, while pipe bursting breaks apart the old pipe and simultaneously pulls in a new one. These methods typically require only one or two small access points, minimizing yard damage and reducing restoration costs. Our team can assess whether a trenchless method is suitable for your specific sewer line issue.
