Finally decided to get my Master Bathroom remodeled. Met with multiple companies and contractors and decided to go with American Dream Flooring and Tile out of Conway, SC. although I think the home office is in Raleigh, NC.. I received a quote from Cregg, I think he may be a partner or executive but he talks a good game and so I went with them.
Got the quote, reviewed what I had to provide, Lighting, Mirrors, & Shower Doors. I read it and agreed (Nothing and nowhere else does it say I have to provide anything else). Paid ½ upfront and waited 3 weeks for the work to begin. Reached out for some logistics info and was informed the Manager, Greg (Different from Cregg the Salesman) no longer works there. OK, workers come and go. Workers show up and begin demo. Goes well, and the following morning the real work starts. Tile crew shows up, and begins. These guys really know their stuff, Laser Levelers, T-Squares, covered my hallway to protect my home and cleaned up when they finished. After they left the shower pan looked small, I measured and it’s 32 inches instead of 38 stated on my contract. When I emailed Cregg, he said it was due to size constraints. OK, I get that, but how could you know that before you began demo? how could you know you wouldn’t gain the needed room as you told you told me you would when you removed the insert? Truth is you ordered the wrong size Shower Pan to begin with. Lie#1.
Plumber and Tile guys were great. They finished and the Countertop Crew comes in to measure. They ask me about the Faucets, I ask what do you mean? they tell me the faucets are not included, wait, what? That’s not what my contract says. OK, I got screwed again, so I purchased two nice faucets from Amazon (Need fast delivery to keep the crew working) and I meet with the Crew Chief and the Vanity installer and the Countertop installers. I express my concern that the faucets fit right and will work properly. I’m assured by all it’s no problem, multiple times. Well of course it’s a problem. With the Countertop in place the faucets hit the Backsplash. I email Cregg again and am told “Don’t Worry, You’re in Good Hands” Countertop guys come back and tell me they’ll just cut my Wall and push the Backsplash further into the wall so the faucet handles don’t hit. Oh, wait, never mind, “We’ll just oblong the holes. The plate will cover it and no one will know”, guess what, I KNOW. Complete amateur fix. Lie#2
Contract calls for them to paint. My bathroom had Popcorn Ceilings and it was peeling and falling off, so I went ahead and removed it. The painter says that makes more work for him. Cregg, calls me on the phone and provides a standard corporate answer “Show me where it says That” he goes on to say how this will set the guys back two days, and I made all this extra work and it's not included. They would have painted over or patched the Popcorn Ceiling. I’m mad so I tell the painter to just paint the shower area and I’ll handle the rest. I get another call from Cregg, if I throw the painter another $200.00 he’ll do it. I’m stuck, so there goes another $200.00. Lie/ Scam #3
OK, moving on because this is such nonsense, it’s time to finish installing the Vanity and connect the rest of the plumbing. Oh, wait, the Vanity itemized @ $850.00 on my Contract does NOT include knobs, Really, you’re kidding me. Again, please as you said, show me where in my contract it says I have to provide the Vanity Hardware, it doesn’t. Lie#4
They finally finish, make a few corrections and I ask for an itemized bill and the warranties. Cregg sends back the Warranty is Labor only. Total joke. I ask him to send me the manufacturer and model number of all the items American Dream Flooring & Tile provided in case I need to contact them for warranty assistance. He did, and I paid the balance of my bill if full.
Bottom line, don’t use this company unless you get every single thing in writing upfront. They lie, they’re not transparent or forthcoming and don’t care. They’ve moved on to abuse the next customer.

I had a great experience with American Dream Flooring. I am not local to Myrtle Beach, and they were still able to assist me seamlessly without me being on-site, which made the entire process incredibly easy and stress-free. The team was swift, efficient, and very professional from start to finish. Their communication and customer service were excellent—always responsive, friendly, and attentive to detail. The job had to be rescheduled but ultimately completed on time, and the final result exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality flooring service, especially if you need a reliable team you can trust from a distance.
