  They were quick to come fix a water valve leak at our washing machine box (within 24 hours of placing a service call). Thorough, careful, conscious and very willing to explain the process and what was being specifically repaired and what other items we may need to do that they couldn’t complete like drywall repair etc. They have also done our water heater replacement in the past, so we were very happy to call them back for other plumbing issues. Shout out to Garrett. Thank you!

  Jefferson was professional all the way around. He was polite, friending, knew what he was doing, explained things, worked hard , wanted to finish the job but did not have the necessary parts in his truck. However he was able to return and complete the job the next day. We had been without air for 4 days and wanted to make things better for us. I truly thank Jefferson for his time he worked until 9:48!pm and was very respectful in all ways. Thank you for your service the best I have had with LIMRIC in a long time. I will request Jefferson for all my HVAC jobs.

  I contacted LimRic months ago to share with them that they did not fix the problem. They sent me emails saying to contact them and they would discuss with me how to resolve the issue. I have called many times and have either had my called terminated (don't know how in that no one picked up) or left messages and no one has called me back. Again, this all started in the middle of June (2.5 months ago). I very disappointed because the old LimRic from years ago (before they sold out) is no longer visible. My advice to anyone wanting or thinking of using them, please read the reviews to make an informed decision.

  We had a leaky faucet in the one bathtub/shower, & I called Leak Seekers Plumbing. They sent a technician last Wednesday, he was here for about a half hour, told me that we’d probably have to get a new faucet because they no longer manufactured parts for that faucet & that he would probably have to cut a hole in the bedroom drywall to install it. He left & said he’d get back with us. That night my son went to take a shower & there was no hot water coming from that faucet…in addition to the leak. I called the plumbing company several times Thursday & again Friday morning, but always got voicemail. Then around 2:00 Friday afternoon, they sent me a text saying they had canceled my work order because I wasn’t giving them enough time to find the part. They refunded the fee for the service call; however, we were back to square one & had a houseguest coming on Sunday. Since it was Friday afternoon, I wasn’t optimistic, but decided to call Limric Plumbing. Someone answered when I called, & a technician (Brad) arrived within a half hour. He assessed the situation & had to drive to Mt. Pleasant for the part, but was back & had the faucet repaired before 5:30! I was so impressed with Limric’s responsiveness & Brad’s efficiency, & relieved to have the faucet working before our houseguest arrived on Sunday. Bottom line: I highly recommend Limric Plumbing to anyone wanting quality service from a company that actually answers the phone.

  Three years ago, I purchased two Bosch HVAC units from Limric for approximately $60,000. I later learned from a Limric technician that these units were designed for the German climate and are not well-suited to humidity control in Charleston, SC. I received no discount, credit, or other reconciliation from Limric for having installed equipment not suited to this climate. The purchase included three air filters at approximately $100 each. Limric delivered the wrong size filters. I returned them and was told the correct size would be provided. Over roughly three years and close to a dozen service visits (each with a ~$200 diagnostic fee), the correct filters were never delivered, despite multiple technicians noting the request. I enrolled in Limric's annual maintenance plan ($30/month). The plan reduces the standard dispatch fee from $200 to $175 and is meant to include one annual system check. The $175 dispatch fee is charged in addition to the monthly plan cost, and in practice, Limric does not schedule the annual check proactively — it has to be requested. I have replaced the upstairs thermostat three times due to the cost Limric quoted for replacement. Limric's warranty terms distinguish between "parts" and "devices"; the thermostat is classified as a device and is not covered. Labor for troubleshooting or repair is also not covered under warranty. One week ago, the upstairs unit failed. An inspection of the attic showed disconnected wires held with duct tape, debris, and exposed copper wiring. Limric diagnosed a failed transformer — a component rated for a 10-20 year lifespan — and quoted approximately $500 for replacement, while also flagging the control board as a possible additional issue. The transformer is a $50 part and was also classified as a "device," so it was not covered under warranty. The technician told me I would need to contact the transformer's supplier directly to ask about a warranty; Limric did not offer any assistance with this. I contacted Limric to discuss this pattern of issues. The receptionist was courteous and said the HVAC manager, Phil, would follow up. Four days later, I had not heard from Phil, but did receive a request to complete a review of the visit. I was billed $175 for that visit (after the $25 maintenance-plan discount). I checked Bosch's website for a list of certified installers and did not find Limric listed there, despite Limric selling and servicing Bosch equipment. I can't confirm whether Limric holds certification through another channel — only that they don't appear on Bosch's public list. I contacted Service Experts (a Pardee company), which offered a same-night visit at no charge; we scheduled it for the next morning instead. Their technician arrived at 8 a.m., diagnosed the actual issue as incorrect wiring (not the transformer or control board), and completed the repair in about 30 minutes, at a lower cost than Limric's quote. I originally chose Limric because it had a reputation as a small, family-run company offering strong work at fair prices. In a prior home in 2005, I had HVAC work done by Limric and worked with the same technician throughout, who took time to design a system suited to my needs. Over the past few years, I have rarely seen the same technician twice. I have also learned that neighbors have had comparable HVAC systems installed for roughly 20-25% of what I paid. I'm sharing this so other potential customers have the facts before deciding whether to work with Limric. I have not received a resolution or a return call after raising these issues directly with Limric's office, and I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with someone from the company.
