  Our technician Jordan was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He walked me through step-by-step everything he was doing figured out a problem pretty fast and fix the problem. Very good experience.

  THIEVES AND LIARS…. we recently called for a yearly maintenance on a 4 year old unit and was told by One Hour Heating and Air in Myrtle Beach that it needed a $450 part to help extend the life of the unit… of course like any homeowner we like to trust the companies we have coming out to our home so we agreed… after agreeing to install this part we immediately started having issues…. called the company to come out to see if it was the new part and they wanted me to pay them again for a service charge to look at their faulty part…. never had issues with our unit until One Hour Heating and Air installed their faulty part… NEVER AGAIN!!!

  PLEASE READ....This company is a fraud. Do not use them. They have personnel that must not be certified in HVAC or are scamming customers. I had them out to replace a humidifier unit. They did that. My problem with humidity worsened. I called them back. Upon returning they said my motor on the condensing unit needed replaced because it was running backwards ($1600k for a $350 motor and 1 hour job). What??? I just had an inspection that said the unit was running fine except the dehumidifier. They were the only ones that touched the unit. I cannot definitively say the flipped the capacitor wire, but truly believe they did. They said I needed a new complete unit because my system was 8 years old and better to just replace. Quoted me $10k to do the work and tried the hard pressure. I called for a second opinion. I called out Baker's heating and air. In 1 hour Franklin found the switched wire and the unit runs perfectly. $99 service call. In talking with my HVAC guy up north, one of the first diagnostic tests is the capacitors. They didn't even bother. Just replace. This place is a complete scam. Do not use them. I will continue to post this review month after month to hope people do not get scammed from these people. BBB needs notified, AG should be involved as well as any review website possible. Please pass this along and call an honest company like Bakers to do your work. Thank you for reading and I hope I saved you thousands.

  Mr.Charles W. Was very polite and competent. He gave my husband and I a sense of trust with his statements and explanations of the service that were done to both our air condition units. We are going to request him to service our air conditioner both for Spring and Winter.😃

  We had them out to check on insulation wrapped on our main trunk line. The first technician did everything he could to not do what we wanted. Very unhappy with him. Then a sales guy showed up. ( I get it, it's part of the show) Our system was old and I knew that at some point I'd need to upgrade so after the salesman gave his pitch he also had another tech come out to do what we asked for on the first place. He completely contradicted the first guy and actually did what we asked. The first guy went straight to you have a coolant leak that turned out to be simply oil but was from the insulation on the tubing. There was a small leak but it was in the air handler. The first guy never even checked he got his dispatch fee and ran Second guy was great. So the next day the entire system was replaced. The installers 3 of them were fantastic. They were here over 13 hours but did a stellar job. We also arranged for duct cleaning that was done a couple days later. Again 2 guys all day did a fantastic job. Unfortunately one of them with the best intensions noticed the cool cap was not installed correctly and decided a screw would be good to hold it on place..Well he put it right through the condenser coil destroying the brand new condenser unit.. However One Hour made good and the next day had a brand new unit there to replace the damaged unit. They did this without any tap dancing or BS about fixing it. I didn't want my 4 day old unit I got to have a major repair. So that was great , once again the cool cap came off. So they sent another guy out who replaced the center hinge and now it's fine. Of all the things that could have gone wrong this was a very minor issue. The system works great and other than avoidable issues they handled it very well. I was not expecting to spend $15,500 that week but other than the first guy service was great Being 60 years old I have had health with many subpar HVAC companies and was expecting the same service. Can't live with out AC or heat so it's not their fault I needed a new system. They made me feel good l, no buyers remorse to spend more than my car cost. I was able to get 18 month no interest which helped..The only thing I will say is the finance company is extremely predatory and structured the loan in a way that will cause all the interest for the first 18 months to all be added back in if you do the payments how they set them up. They set it up for get this, 120 payments. 10 years. So that interest would come back like a tidal wave The total repaid would be more than the loan amount. Read the contract . However I know that and they will be making no money from me because I will pay it off in under 18 months. I will recommend One Hour as an excellent service provider sans the first guy. I won't call him out by name he needs to do better That being the case 4 stars because they did service after the sale. Edit: Cool cap came off again, I don't understand why they can install all this equipment but don't seem to understand how adhesive works. It's unfortunate that this insignificant issue has requires so many dispatches and replacement of the condenser unit. Changed to 3 stars It is a shame because 5 stars would have been a slam dunk. It's the little details that need to be addressed as well as the large ones. Let's see how they do on the 4th attempt to secure the cool cap.
