  Rapid response to a sudden water heater failure. Immediate return of initial phone call; tech (Johnathan) arrived a short time later. Ordered a new heater, which was delivered and hooked up by John in a timely manner. Time from initial call to finished installation of the new water heater was approximately 6-hours..!!! Very impressive. I'm very pleased.

  Freddie, our electrician today, is the epitome of what excellent service is all about!!! He arrived on time with a smile and completed the work in a timely manner. He did not hesitate to answer any questions when asked and was very knowledgeable about the electrical field....His outstanding service exceeded my expectations!!! Thank you Freddie for a job well done. I will definitely request this technician for any electrical issues that may come up in the future.

  We've had a leaking pipe for the past couple months that could have caused foundation issues. The technicians showed up within an hour of me requesting services. They quickly diagnosed the issue and got right to work fixing it. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. We’ll be using preferred home services again!

  Very interesting experience with Preferred Home Services. I booked two repairs, electrical and plumbing. The plumbing service ended up being rescheduled a couple of hours before they were to arrive due to emergencies they were handling. I would hope I would get the same level of service (my emergency prioritized) so I really can't be too irritated at that. The electrician showed up on time, handled the repair, and although the price was higher than I have paid for similar services I felt it was worth it to have my issue safely repaired. However, the plumbing was a different things altogether. The plumber did arrive on time, introduced himself, and I showed him what I needed (replacing a kitchen faucet and the hole in the counter was just a little too small for the new fitting). First thing was he asked if I was interested in signing up for their service plan. Then as he was checking out the sink he mentioned my garbage disposal was small. Not the issue but noted. The he looked a the faucet and told me he'd write up a quote. The amount to widen the hole in the counter and install the faucet was over $800. I was shocked. The answer to that was a quick no, I thanked him for his time and that was that. I got a call from Preferred several hours later asking to rate the service I received. I mentioned the really, really, really high price and she told me "well, we are not the cheapest." Well, no you are not! Damn! I found my Dremel, a carbide burr, and about 45 minutes later the entire job was done and the new faucet was installed. Still thinking about that quote. Wow. I would be very cautious to call this particular company about an emergency repair. I can only imagine the quote you would get.
