  Update: Buyer Beware......The response underneath my post shows concern that I did not receive in the email that they sent yesterday. They will not fix the sidewalk. I would not buy a home from this builder ever again. My 13 month sidewalk to the entrance of my new home is literally gravel. Every time it rains it washes the gravel into the flowerbed surrounding the flowerbed. When I texted Colleen at Stanley Martin, her response was, "What brand of ice melt did you use?" That was the only response I received from Colleen. After I told her that a one time use of ice melt should not reduce a sidewalk to gravel, I never heard a response from her again.

  It is really sad and frustrating that after Sterling Martin was done and terminating their lease on the model home in the Greenbriar Meadows neighborhood- Greenville, it became problematic for them (Sterling Martins) and their staff to properly hand over the keys of the house to the homeowner. Their staff was unable to give appropriate information, regardless of multiple attempts in person, via email and over the phone about handing over the key in due time. When the key was eventually handed over to the homeowner, it was the wrong key, in which the homeowner couldn't gain access to the home using this key. In the process of resolving that, their staff chose to give conflicting information again and hung off the phone while the homeowner was trying to clarify a way out. Is this part of their company policy like their staff claimed??? Whenever any discussion is raised, they (the staff) are quick to say "Per company policy " In my years of dealing with builders/realtors I have never encountered a company that careless of upholding a good and upright policy that ensures customer satisfaction from the beginning of a transaction to the end!

  Would like to know who voted Stanley Martin Homes as Builder of the Year 2021. As a homeowner since February 2021, we have been disappointed with the construction quality of the home we live in.
