When the energy company came out to shut off the power, their technician informed Mr. Sparky that there was no emergency issue and that the panel was not melting. Once the electricians looked further into it, the actual issue turned out to be a malfunctioning GFI coming from the inside panel. They corrected the problem, and what was originally presented as a $3,000 emergency repair ended up being a $99 fix. We appreciate the electricians correcting the issue, but the initial diagnosis and quote felt very concerning given what the power company later confirmed.
