  I have been a customer of Carolina for 6 years and have always been happy with the technicians and service. My experience with the admin side has declined substantially over the past 1-2 years. You are asked to make bi-annual check up appointments months in advance, only to be cancelled on the day of (numerous times). They do not provide invoice detail, and in 2025 I had a part replaced which the cost (labor/part) was 2.5x what I paid another reputable HVAC company for the exact same scope a few months later on a separate unit. I would assume ownership has changed.

  Used for years but they have changed. Called the day (hour) of service for the annual contract and said they couldn’t make it and rescheduled for 3 weeks out. Customer service did not care and were rude about it. No apology - nothing. It’s June and his t already took 8 weeks to get the appointment. Really gone down hill. I got a little rude back in the phone (annoyed and bad behavior no doubt) but customer service hung up on me after she was unapologetically rude. It’s disappointing for sure but have moved on with another company that values their customer.

  Contacted Carolina Heating to get a repair estimate on one of our commercial AC units. The technician, Katy, came out next day and unfortunately determined the unit was beyond repair (it is almost 30 yrs old). She then gave me a couple of suggestions for replacement options even though they are focusing more on the residential side of their business. Katy was extremely professional and very personable throughout the entire visit. I would definitely recommend them for your residential HVAC needs.

  I have recently been using Carolina Heating Service for my semi-annual heating and cooling tune-ups, and I am impressed with their professionalism and quality of work. Bill, the CHS technician, was prompt, courteous, and extremely thorough. He inspected and cleaned every component of my system, checked the filters, and ensured everything was running efficiently. He also provided a helpful “system report card” outlining the current condition and expected lifespan of my HVAC system, which I really appreciated. I trust CHS with all my heating and cooling needs and highly recommend them to anyone looking for dependable, knowledgeable, and professional service.   We called for service because a 16" duct installed in 2023 fell away from its connection, leaving the intake unit wide open and the duct dangling. We needed it reconnected--only that. Carolina Heating had done the original install and we were happy with what they did in 2023 (although the support for this duct WAS insufficient). But for this very simple fix, they billed us $533. We were gobsmacked. The materials the service person used were some tape, some adhesive (we assume) and a large zip tie. Period. $149 for service call, which we agreed to. We weren't forewarned about the rest of the cost ($384). We felt shafted. In future, I will do my own repairs. The service person never even told us his name and, observing him, I feel he padded his time here. He added an additional support strap only after I pointed out that the original strap had proven inadequate to support the weight of the vent.
