- JTJ TApr 2, 20263.0Long read. Our experience. Aiken county taxes just went up $800+ a month so get ready for that. The woman in the office doesn't even know the street names in the neighborhood. In addition to that, she has been caught in video, and called out for her speeding through the neighborhood. A resident (in the video) yelled as she passed by to slow down and she yelled out her window for the resident to "shut up." The pool is not large enough to support the number of houses they plan to put in. This fails to mention that ingrates destroy something at the pool area nearly every week (fans, chairs, jumping the fence breaking it, leaving trash) and there is no enforcement aside from the residents themselves. The warranty you get with Stanley Martin is not what they say. The police have been called in to patrol the neighborhood for babitual speeders and reckless drivers. Your home won't have a proper exhaust vent over our stove You'll have cheap driveway sprinklers, they apply the cheapest matte finish paint in the walls. Your showers may not get hot enough in the winter. You'll have a driveway juuuust wide enough to park two cars. When you buy your home, you'll have to provide blinds, a fence, and ceiling fans. There are neighborhood dogs that run wild. Butbulls even. Solicitors trespassing, and neighbors too. Other than all of that, it's great. This is a stepping stone. Not our forever home.
