  Been in our new home about 7 months now and it has not been great. That's after almost a year and half for them to build it which I won't even get into. The warranty manager Randy has been very dismissive and condescending, especially to my wife. Most of the problems that we have encountered so far haven't been too far from normal (although they are more numerous than any other house we've ever lived in) with exception to the HVAC which is a complete mess. Our upstairs hallway gets a foul musty odor every afternoon and our adjacent bathroom fan occasionally drips a pretty significant amount of water. The upstairs attic also has the same musty smell leaking me to believe that they are all related. It's been several months now and the issue persists. It is at the point now where I think they are deliberately not trying to resolve the issue and wait it out until after the one year warranty expires. The technicians that they send out are clearly unsuited to do anything other than service an HVAC system and do about nothing to address the problem. They came up with a solution a few weeks back but crickets after their fix failed to resolve the issue, just more dismissive and condescending remarks to my wife that's been working with them. The smell gets so strong that we've had move our children out of their room because they were getting constant headaches which have since subsided after moving them out of the room. Keep in mind it's been months since our kids have been able to sleep in their rooms. Now after all this time been they are telling us that the smell is "normal" and there really isn't anything that they can do but they'll send over some other HVAC tech to do another half hearted look at it. On top of all that my outside unit makes intermittent grinding sounds that were again immediately dismissed since they are intermittent and didn't occur when the HVAC tech was here. That's despite video evidence of it occuring, they wouldn't even open it up to check and make sure nothing was loose which I suspect the problem is. Lastly the HVAC underperforms in some of our rooms, I bought digital thermometerers and found rooms like the master bedroom to be 2-3 degrees warmer than the rest of the house and take several hours to cool down. Except for the matter water closet that is 5 degrees cooler than the rest of the house. Apparently they have a fix for it but I remain doubtful. Note this is not an isolated incident. Manny of the neighbors that I've talked to are ALL experiencing the same HVAC issues. They were initially completely dismissive of me and my wife but enough of us are starting to complain that they are at least looking into it but it shouldn't have to take all that and I doubt that they have any plans to do anything about it. Just buyer beware if you decide to move forward with this neighborhood. Note that I will update my review if Beazer and Randy take their warranty concerns seriously and addresses ours and our neighbors concers.

  Highly recommend working with Merri Beth and her team! You truly have the opportunity to customize your home--different cabinets in all bathrooms, many countertops to choose from, and beautiful tile options. The location in the Charleston area cannot be beat traffic wise. Leaving the beautiful oaks in the neighborhood was a big draw for us!
