$850 per hour for a plumber and $120 to $135 flat fee to get an estimate!!! We called for an estimate to replace a circulating hot water pump, labor only since we bought the pump separately. Since it is a replacement, any plumber could take care of it in 30 minutes. The plumber dispatched (Kenny) agreed it would take 30 minutes but the cost quoted was $495. When I asked what their labor rate was he responded $850 per hour! He also tried to sell another brand of pump that would increase the cost to $2,500 which he first quoted as $30 per month, as if we would finance a simple job over 7 years. For context, the pump he quoted is readily available online for $375.

I feel like I got scammed by this company. I called to schedule a repair for a toilet fill valve. When I booked the appointment, I was told there would be a $120 service fee, but that it would be applied toward the repair or any future service. The technician arrived on time and was professional, but the repair options I was given ranged from over $600 just to fix the issue to more than $2,000 to replace the toilet. That immediately seemed excessive, so I called another well-established local plumbing company for a second opinion. They quoted me roughly one-quarter of Waldrop’s price for the same repair. So now I’m out the $120 service fee, and it feels like it was simply the cost of getting an outrageously inflated estimate. Based on my experience, I’d skip Waldrop and call a reputable local plumber instead.

We previously had had excellent experiences with Waldrop. They weren't the cheapest, but I chose them because I knew the job would be done right and the customer service would be excellent. However, I had my AC replaced by them 2 weeks ago and the experience has not been what I had been accustomed to with Waldrop. I have had multiple issues including poorly installed condensate pump which caused extensive water damage to my ceiling which is still not fixed. I have had to have them come back twice to address issues, and the unit is still not cooling adequately. When I try to get a person on the phone to address issues, it's now an AI customer service agent, and it's no longer possible to get an actual person to address the issue. Update 6/17: A technician did come out yesterday for our 3rd call out since the installation and discovered an additional problem with the original install. Unfortunately, we haven't noticed any improvement in the performance of the system. It still is not keeping the area cool. Also, I still haven't heard anything about anyone coming to fix the damage to my ceiling.

We had an issue with our HVAC system that began in June. We called Waldrop and they sent out a technician that serviced our unit. He was courteous and spent time going over everything. After he left, we continued to have an issue. Waldrop sent Nathan, who was great, out and unfortunately he was unable to duplicate the issue. He suggested that another technician come out when it was hotter outside to check so Grant came out. Again Grant was very courteous, knowledgeable and attempted to get the unit to duplicate the issue and was able to pinpoint what he thought it was but wanted his supervisor to check the unit before we spent a significant amount of money to fix. His supervisor came out and Grant was spot on. They ordered the parts and sent Robert and Dillon out to repair the unit. Robert and Dillion spent the entire day in extreme heat repairing our unit. They were both knowledgeable, courteous, and answered all the questions I had. Even the office staff were very kind each time I called. I appreciate the customer service we have recieved. I am grateful that Grant took the time to ensure the probelm was diagnosed correctly prior to us having to invest the money for the repair and the supervisor went over everything to ensure the unit would be completely repaired. He even found one additional issue. Thank you Robert and Dillion for installing the parts and getting our HVAC working again. Waldrop staff are truly customer oriented and do very good work. We will be using them for all our HVAc, electrical, and plumbing needs from this point forward.

If you want more honest reviews check their yelp page out. Their employees receive incentives for Google reviews, especially if one has their name in it,so take that as you will. Obviously being in a pinch that’s is 80 degrees in our home we went against our better judgment and called them out because oddly enough in the busiest time for hvac they had availability. Locking their customers into a yearly membership, they cannot uphold coming out to you for free everytime, so I wish we didn’t do that. Because obviously they didn’t fix it when they came out and I needed them to come back out and of course they did not. I was told by Waldrop’s technician we have a leaking coil on our 410a unit but unfortunately they stopped selling those coils so we would have to upgrade our entire unit. He said he would email the video of the leak, never did. I called another company out and asked if they could check the leaking coil, and it was in fact not leaking. We actually have a compressor going out, which the other company found.
