  As a new homeowner, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a same day appointment. Jay was knowledgeable on my homes’ previous maintenance, recent installs, and recommendations on my HVAC systems and air humidifier. He was timely and followed up after our appointment was over with recommended next steps. I look forward to working with Jay and team in the future.

  I Can’t say enough good things about their level of service and honesty. Definitely a Five Star Find! The technician was professional and courteous, took the time to explain our options, answer our questions and provide additional backup information related to our problem and options. Most importantly had our system back up and running for a lot less than we expected.

  We had Jay out to evaluate our HVAC system and give us an estimate on adding a dehumidifier. While we’re still deciding on our next steps, we were extremely impressed with his thoroughness. Jay took the time to conduct an in-depth analysis of our entire setup, pointing out several underlying issues we weren't even aware of. He presented clear, well-explained options without any sales pressure. His deep technical knowledge gave us total confidence as we weigh our choices. If you want an honest, highly knowledgeable technician who truly inspects your system, ask for Jay!

  Not as impressed as everyone else seems to be with Costal Air Plus. Five year old heat pump went out on a Wednesday. Worked on my own very old A/C system several times with my small business, so I already knew the evaporator fan motor was out and causing the heat pump outside to freeze up. Called Coastal Air and Jay came out that day. Jay was very polite and professional. He confirmed my diagnosis and charged me $100 for the visit, fair enough. He confirmed the motor was still under warranty (parts only). He quoted me a price of $519 and said a technician could arrive the next day between noon and 5 PM to repair it. Since it was supposed to be done quickly I agreed at that price. At 4:55 the next day we received a call that it would not be until the following day due to "manpower issues". It was crazy hot so we were not happy but pretty much stuck. The tech did arrive the following day, charged us $519 for 45 minutes of labor and left. Maybe that is the going rate for AC repairs, but it seemed pretty pricy to me. The instructions to the technician were to remove the outside panel, remove the screws to the motor housing and remove the bolts securing the fan. The unit is entirely outside the house with easy access, no air handler to mess with. Had it been next-day service I suppose it would have been worth it, but it was not. I think I'll look elsewhere the next time I have a heat pump issue.
