How do budgets work?
We determine budgets by multiplying the previous year's usage (or average customer usage if not applicable) by the current average cost of oil. The resulting total is divided into 11 equal monthly payments, spanning from July to May. No payment is due in June. We review budgets early in the year and, if necessary, recalculate them with the customer. As a respected local HVAC company, we prioritize transparent pricing and high-quality work. Can I get a service contract?
Service contracts are available for most equipment we install. We can also provide contracts for equipment installed by other companies, provided it was installed within the last five years. Please note that HVAC units must be serviced before being added to an account.
When can I schedule my annual service?
We recommend annual servicing or tune-ups for all units. To minimize winter-related issues, we prefer scheduling these appointments between March and September. Our service capabilities include a variety of units, including heat pumps.
How do I become an oil customer?
All our oil customers are placed on automatic delivery. Before our first delivery, we need to inspect your heating oil tank. We require a credit card on file, which will be automatically charged the day following each delivery. Please note that we do not offer one-time deliveries.
What is automatic delivery, and how does it work?
Our automatic heating oil delivery system estimates fuel usage based on several factors, including your past consumption, tank size, and degree days. Using a weather-based forecasting model, it projects how long your supply will last and schedules your next delivery based on temperature patterns and changing weather conditions.
When do I get my oil delivery?
Once our estimate shows your tank is between 25% and 50%, we automatically schedule your delivery. This gives us enough lead time to ensure timely service and builds in a helpful buffer—especially during extended cold weather, such as a 3–4 day cold spell or winter storm.
What is the benefit of automatic delivery?
The main benefit to you is peace of mind—letting us handle it means one less thing for you to worry about.
Do I need to be home to get oil delivered?
No, home oil delivery can be completed without you being present at your residence, unless your heating system needs to be restarted.
What are some of your energy-saving tips for oil usage?
Set your thermostat as low as is comfortable in winter and as high as is comfortable in summer. Clean or replace furnace filters monthly, or as needed. When upgrading heating or cooling systems, choose energy-efficient products to help reduce energy use and improve performance.
How do I get started with automatic heating oil delivery?
We’ll send an oil delivery driver to your home to inspect your tank, oil line, and fill system. After the inspection is complete, we’ll fill your tank and enroll you in automatic delivery.
