Very happy with the installation and price I received from Gino and team at STA So Cool. I was looking to replace a nearly 2 decade old heat pump and air handler. We tended not to run it when the weather got colder since the heat pump wasn't very efficient in colder temps, and the electric heat strips in the furnace would blow up our electric bill. After calling to set up time for an estimate, Gino was over in a couple days and provided us three options (good, better, best) that same day. Not really knowing what to expect, I called another company, that was referred to me by family, for another estimate to compare against. Again, not an expert in this area, I asked ChatGPT to compare the estimates. The 'better' option from STA was "a substantially more advanced" option at a lower price than the best option from the other company. Hard to pass on an option that can save me money both now and later. Gino's estimate gave me a unit that's rated to perform 50% more efficient at single degree temps compared to the other estimate and should allow us to actually use the heat pump when it gets cold without worrying about sky-high electric bills. And again, at a lower all-in price, with three different payment options I could pick from. Once I accepted the estimate, Gino had it installed 3 days later, all in one day. It's been less than a month, so no issues yet, but I'm very happy so far and already noticing an improvement in room temperature as the nights get colder. I've also been happy with the newer tech that allows me to monitor an adjust everything from my phone, and feel comfortable allowing Gino to get alerts from the unit to diagnose potential problems before I even know about them. I would recommend STA So Cool to anyone looking for HVAC installation or service!
