  This is a complicated review to write because we had some high highs and some low lows with 412 Masonry. To start on a positive note, the crew working on our house was absolutely incredible. They worked tirelessly for a day and half and really knew what they were doing. Our home looks completely brand new while maintaining its original design, and they even cleaned up really well outside as they worked. We could not be happier with the end result of the actual work, and are so thankful to that talented group of guys. Additionally, Carl did a very thorough and comprehensive job on our estimate- we knew exactly what they would be working on, why, and how much it would cost. However, we experienced significant communication issues. First, I had some questions regarding financing options that went unanswered- I called three times, and emailed once. Secondly, my interactions with the owner were very upsetting. Soon after work began on our bricks, an exceptionally large amount of dust entered our home through an air return. Our smoke alarm went off, everything was covered in dust, my husband had to spend the morning wearing a mask, and my children (one of which has intense allergies) and I had to relocate. To mitigate this, I spoke with Frank (the owner) and politely asked if he had an air purifier we could borrow or if he could rent one for us. He was defensive, dismissive, argumentative, rude, and condescending. He refused to believe that that much dust entered our home, and told me I should’ve known it was a dusty job. He also accused me of not wanting to pay him because we hadn’t finalized the financing. I told him that no one had answered my financing questions yet, and he did not believe me that I contacted them and did not get a response. His receptionist later communicated to me that he would agree to rent us an air purifier once our financing was approved. We finalized financing, my mom and I spent hours cleaning, the next day came, and Frank of course did not send the air purifier with the crew. Thankfully, the second portion of work did not fill our house with dust, but I still would have appreciated using an air purifier to make sure that the air in our home was totally clean.

  Frank and his crew did an incredible job with these brick pillars on one of our large deck projects. Everything turned out great and really tied the new structure in with the existing home.
