  We couldn’t be happier with our first floor (“kitchen plus”) remodel by Ford Custom Renovation (FCR). Our 1990’s era home was in desperate need of a refresh, and after our initial meeting with Dan to discuss our overall vision and plan for updating a very dated house, we hired FCR to renovate the entire first floor, including kitchen, dining room, powder room, mudroom, laundry and home office. Dan and his team are truly a one of a kind contracting business in Central Pennsylvania, offering design, project management and skilled craftsmen as part of the project team. Prior to any demo taking place onsite, we spent several months meeting with Dan’s team to plan the project – during these meetings we established timelines, budget, design and expectations for all parties involved. Part of the design process included detailed computerized “renderings” of what the finished project would look like, down to the exact paint colors that we choose for the kitchen cabinets, built in shelves and walls. Being able to tweak the design after reviewing the renderings with the design team was an absolute game changer in terms of getting exactly what we wanted from the project. Dan’s project manager also kept us updated on project timelines and budget during the entire project so there were never any budget or timeline surprises. What really sets FCR apart from other local contractors are his team. Our team lead, Ira, was at our house every day overseeing the project and he made sure that every little detail was what we wanted. Over the course of the project we had the pleasure of meeting many of Dan’s team and everyone who worked on our project was professional, courteous and fun to chat with. We are now in the final days of completing another project with FCR which is an external project to rehabilitate a rotting wraparound porch. Although this project didn’t require the detailed design part of the process, the workmanship and timeliness are the same as our big inside project. We highly recommend FCR for internal and external projects, both big and small. Their ability to stick to a plan and communicate throughout the project adds so much value to the great craftmanship that is the foundation of the business.

  Dan and his team remodeled two bathrooms in our 1857 farmhouse. I was very particular about what I wanted and struggled to find a contractor who I trusted to bring my vision to life. Ford Custom Reno met my expectations and then some. We are absolutely thrilled with their work and craftsmanship as well as their professionalism. They were timely (some things were out of their control with COVID shipping issues), respectful, and overall just nice people to be around. We will absolutely be using them again and recommend them highly.

  Fantastic! Gee, I almost DON’T want to review for fear that when I need my secret home reno weapon, they won’t be available! But, for the greater good, here it goes…. I actually miss the team! Big kitchen and great room renovation while we were living in the bedroom. The team was kind, conscientious and even fun. They strive for perfection and your happiness along the way. Their communication with the process is top notch. We have the utmost respect for the whole team, their vision, ethics and talent. Happy as clams with Ford Custom Renovation!
