  Keystone Basement Systems provided an excellent estimate for waterproofing my basement. Jeff explained everything thoroughly and walked me through all of my options, helping me settle on the right choice. Estimate was well within reason given the expected job.

  Honestly, this company is predatory, and they are preying on people who do not have any knowledge about construction. I asked them to come out to give me an estimate on flattening my basement floor. I was very clear on that first phone call that it didn't need lifted, rather that the original concrete job left it very wavy and full of pitting. What should have been and easy half hour MAX appointment somehow turned into nearly 4 HOURS. The salesman wanted to sit down and "chat" before even looking at the basement, wanted to give me their history of their company and ask how I came to find them, all of which was a huge red flag. I sat there and answered questions like a dope for 45 minutes before he even looked at the basement, and the next thing I know he's taking moisture readings and wall measurements and doing all kinds of things EXCEPT LOOKING AT THE DAMN FLOOR. I told him I had dinner plans and had to leave by a certain time and he assured me we would be done by then. We were not. I had to cancel because I wound up being over an hour late. I got an estimate for over $17k for some crappy wall anchors when all I wanted was someone to grind some concrete flat for me. It's infuriating! Listen, if a contractor ever gives you the hard sell, tells you that the price is X amount of dollars but if you agree to it within a week then they will "discount" it, then you need to throw them out immediately. Any good contractor will tell you the price of their work and be completely upfront about it. They'll give you the price of exactly what you're looking for, and the price is whatever the price is. The bad ones will offer you this "discount" because of course they're hoping you'll agree to it and sign their contract before you have time to do any research or get any other quotes from anyone else. I'm so sorry to everyone here who got taken for a ride, the way these guys conduct business is downright criminal and they should be ashamed.

  I recently used Keystone Basement Systems to install a French drain, sub pump and dehumidifier in an older home. Chris Bailey was exceptional at diagnosing and explaining the problem and the proposed solution. I decided to proceed with the process and I’m glad that I did. Over the years more water was finding its way in and this year’s torrential rain forced me to take action. I DREAD having major home maintenance problems as I unfortunately have had my share of horror stories working with contractors, painters, etc. I immediately had a good gut feeling and a sense of trust when I met Chris. My gut proved right! The crew that did the work communicated clearly, was on time (a rarity in these times), polite and were very hard workers. Special shout out to Dave and Elijah for their hard work and patience with an anxious senior citizen! Two unanticipated glitches were dealt with immediately and professionally and the contract price did not increase. Keystone “ate” the expense and took care of having a plumber AND an electrician remediate the problems that arose due to the age of the house and evidently prior work being done poorly. I have never experienced being so impressed that I take time to write a review. I was and remain a highly satisfied customer with a dry, pleasant smelling basement.

  Thanks so much to Joe D. He came and did a thorough estimate. He also took his time to explain everything! He didn't ask me where my husband was, didn't speak to me in a condescending way, and was very respectful to me and my property overall. I wish I could say the same for other companies, which had estimations of only 10 minutes, some didn't turn off their cars, and one even bullied me. Joe was the total opposite of all that and a #1 class act!

  Beckie was exceptionally thorough during the inspection of our foundation issue, and her transparency provided us an in-depth understanding of the process and potential outcomes! She was able to deliver a same-day quote, despite our last minute appointment, so we would not miss our deadline!
