  We are breathing easier now that Mid Penn Electric has completed major upgrades to our aging electrical system. Trying to get ahead of rising oil prices, we decided to switch from a radiator heating system to a mini-split heat pump. Doing that required an upgrade of our service from 100 to 200 amps. For a very long time, we’d also been experiencing issues with overloaded circuits… when turning on the microwave while using the toaster and that sort of thing. So, we were pretty much looking for a complete overhaul! Brian, of Mid Penn, responded the same day we called, came out to assess our situation, provided us with a quote, and began work within a week. After consulting with the technicians who would be installing our heat pump, Brian had to adjust his schedule to install a new outdoor-rated disconnect and this, along with a couple of other improvements we requested, increased the overall cost of our project. Brian provided us with new quotes before beginning any work and handled the changes to his schedule with aplomb. Having had a not-so-positive experience with a previous electrician, we made the choice to go with a more professional outfit this time around and we couldn’t be happier that we made that choice. The skilled professionals at Mid Penn Electric left us with complete confidence in their work!
