  5 Stars for Shane! We would like to give our sales representative, Shane Kalivretenos with DRB Elevate, a well-deserved 5-star rating. Purchasing our two-level Inspire model on Iris Lane in the Amblebrook Community was a highly consultative, zero-pressure experience that took several months of collaborative discussions. Shane excelled at taking mental notes of our preferences, insightfully explaining the features and benefits of various design options, and carefully managing our cost additions to the base contract. He was incredibly respectful of our timeline and design iterations—only formally updating the contract and model when we were physically present to confirm. Our experience at the DRB Design Center in Hagerstown, MD was equally excellent. Shane truly sets the standard for how a sales representative should operate, and we are grateful for his thoroughness and dedication. Once the home moved from the sales and design process into construction, warranty, and community operations, our experience became more mixed. The transition highlighted several areas where we believe DRB North, the broader corporate support structure, and the Crown-managed HOA have opportunities to improve communication, customer follow-through, and overall homeowner support. While we remain pleased with the home, our neighbors, and the broader character of the community, the post-sale experience has not consistently matched the high standard set by Shane during the purchase process. More proactive construction updates, clearer warranty responsiveness, and stronger HOA facility management would go a long way toward creating a more seamless and confidence-building homeowner experience. Shane’s professionalism remains the clear benchmark, and we hope the same level of care and consistency can be carried through the full DRB ownership experience. Among homeowners, Shane’s work appears to be widely appreciated; the opportunity for DRB is to ensure that the overall ownership experience reinforces that goodwill rather than gradually eroding it.

  My husband and I moved into a DRB Elevate home at the Amblebrook Community in the summer of 2025. This was after a multi-year search process. During that time, we visited with Shane Kalivretenos several times. Each time he was attentive, responsive, and extremely informative. He explained the process well, offered insight and solutions, answered our many questions, and took a lot of time with us. When the time was right, he walked us through the home buying experience from start to finish. We always felt we had an advocate on our side. His expertise, patience, and kindness were a big reason we chose Amblebrook and specifically DRB Elevate. We are almost a year out from our purchase date and love our new home. We are very satisfied with our home build/buying experience with DRB Elevate.

  We did quite a bit of homework before visiting Amblebrook. Based on this initial research, we had decided on DRB Elevate as our builder. From our first visit with Shane, he was a wealth of information and assistance as we navigated the build process. He helped us with the many options decisions, asking us questions to ensure our decisions were well-informed. Shane walked us through our contract list multiple times to ensure we understood each line item. He was available at all times, phone/email/text to answer our questions. This wasn't our first new build, but we felt more informed and comfortable due to Shane's assistance with this one. It was obvious to us that he cares about the new homeowners and wanted us to be happy in our new home. Mission accomplished as we are very happy!

  Shane Kalivretenos was great to work with while building our new home. There was no pressure or hard sell while we were considering our options. When we decided to build with DRB, Shane was with us every step of the way. He made the process manageable. We appreciated his experience, communication, recommendations, and enthusiasm. His team of builders and warranty staff was very professional. We’ve been in our home one year and only had to contend with a few “nail pops” which were remedied within a week or two of our work order. We’re very happy with our home. Thanks, Shane!

  My husband and I not only bought a DRB Elevate home with Shane Kalivretenos, our sales rep, but purchased another DRB Elevate home (due to a premier lot location) seven months later through Shane. The home styles and sizes far surpass the other builder options. In addition DRB Elevate seems to have the more desirable lots in the Amblebrook community. There will always be issues with new home construction but the DRB Warranty Department addresses the shortfalls. We had several items that needed to be corrected and there was never any hesitation in scheduling the repairs. Shane was very helpful through the decision process and is truly an asset to the DRB Elevate corporation.
