  I hired Chimney Scientists for a Chimney inspection for a house I was purchasing and they exceeded expectations. John specifically was so helpful—he went the extra mile to check what options my options were for repair/replacement.

  I have to be honest....they get 2 stars just for the professionalism of their workers. But the management of my repair job would embarrass any organization. The job was supposed to take 2-3 days...it took 3 whole months, with multiple visits that I had to be home for, all to re-adjust and repair a miscalculation done by the company owner who did the site survey...somehow he didn't realize after his inspections that my chimney pipe was not straight! The fact that he somehow missed this simple offset caused multiple delays, additions to the work, recalculations, waiting for parts, and readjusting work that had already been done. And after all that inconvenience, there was no offer by the company to make things right...only complaining about how much more money THEY had to spend to correct their mistake. Chimney "Scientists"? Hardly!

  5 Stars to Antonio and Ricardo for excellent service and professionalism. They arrived on time to install a stainless steel liner at my residence in my 65 year old chimney. They came prepared according to plan and installed the liner, cap. While Antonio adjusted the liner, Ricardo cut the bricks to line the wood burning stove replacing broken bricks. Also Ricardo mixed motar to fill in spaces in my floor left by a previous contactror that was left undone. They covered everything in plastic wrap to keep the dust off other items in the room. Jasmine in the office called me next day just making sure all went well. I am going forward with a masonry contact mid June to repair the exterior. I recommend Chimney Scientists for all your chimney needs. Good Work!

  Service: lining replacement (old terra cotta flue was cracked and deteriorating) The Chimney Scientists crew was excellent, from scheduling through service, solid communication throughout. The cost is on the higher side, but the service and warranty justify it. I had a few minor issues after initial liner replacement, but they came back out and handled them quickly and completely. Great communication and workmanship. Thank you to the whole team, and to Francisco and Ronaldo specifically!
