ALSO GOT 4 ESTIMATES AND J D WAS THE CHEAPEST BUY FAR WITH A HIGHER END SOLUTION THAT OTHERS HAD MISSED CERTIAN THINGS.

  The crew was experienced and the foreman was knowledgeable and had a balanced knowledge of construction beyond waterproofing. Prices were agreeable and they honored their estimate they gave to the letter, which is pretty rare. Especially since they encountered some unforseen hurdles in my home. Clean job, no faults, no more flooding, and my neighbors have benefited from it too.

  I hired J & D Waterproofing because they were allegedly a Christian organization that happened to do basement waterproofing. They waterproofed my basement around 2003. Each year we received a maintenance invoice for $25 until January 2009. I called in February 2009 when I was balancing our checkbook for January to inquire if J&D Waterproofing sent out our invoice, that I had not seen one. A company rep told me that they were no longer sending invoices, that I should have known that my annual warrenty fee was due in January. I told them that I was not aware that they were not sending invoices, that I never received notice of such. I offered to pay the $25, but they told me that my warranty was null and void for non-payment. Approximately, six months ago I called J & D Waterproofing to ask if they would stand behind the job they orginally did even though I no longer had the warranty. I told them that three different companies told me that I needed to replace the work that J & D Waterproofing did in 2003. I had one company jet the drain lines and insert cameras into the drains to determine what the issues were. According to them, the wrong piping was used. They claimed that J &D Waterproofing used landscape irrigation drain piping rather than a heavier grade piping. J&D Waterproofing told me they would have someone contact me to set up a date to come out and inspect my system, that they would make things right. They never called. Today, I called and a lady told that, since my warranty expired, they would charge me $100 for service call. If the system needed to be replaced, I would have to pay for another entire waterproofing of my basement. I told her that I had never experienced a Christian organization operating quite like J & D Wateroofing does, that they needed to stop advertising on Christian radio stations. For anyone that uses J & D Waterproofing, I highly recommend that you schedule annual calendar payment cycles so you are not caught in the predictament that I experienced in 2009 and this year. I also recommend that you record any conversation you have with this company.

  Three years ago, we spent like $7k with these guys to install an interior french drain around the back of our house, a 1960s build that sits at the bottom of a steep back yard. It was the best home improvement investment we made. Rains like we're experiencing this summer would have created nightmare scenarios of basement flooding and cleanup - not to mention all the stress and anxiety when we knew heavy rain was in the forecast. Instead, today the sump pump is getting a workout and the inside of our home is dry. J&D were easy to work with. Their crews showed up when they said. They came back afterward (by request) to make sure the system was functioning. And again, our remodeled office, bathroom, and laundry room our dry and protected from these deluges.
