  We had a passive radon mitigation system in our new house, which might have been enough. But since we live in one of the areas in the US where radon is pretty prevalent, we decided to test it with a consumer grade monitor. The reading was ~8 in the basement and ~4 in the living area on the first floor and, while not crazy high, mitigation is recommended at 4 and we figured we should put in the fan to make it an active system. I thought, yeah, I could do that myself, it doesn't seem that hard to install just a fan. Then I read, by law, a certified installer needed to do it and certify the installation. So, I thought, fine, let's have someone do it. What I didn't realize was all the *other* stuff that goes into radon mitigation beyond "just installing the fan". And that's where Tuan at American Radon Solutions, Inc. comes in. His attention to detail - finding the breaches and filling them, sealing the sump pit *tight*, filling a crack in the basement floor I didn't even know what there - was what mattered most and was what radon mitigation actually is. You can have a fan all you want but if it's just pulling radon from the ground into your house, well, that's not really mitigation, now, is it? ARS, Inc. should be your go to. The installation was clean, exceedingly thorough, a reasonable price for peace of mind, and absolutely what you want when it comes to making sure your house is safe.

  We had a great experience with American Radon Solutions. Tuan Nguyen got back to me the same day I reached out and even stopped by that evening to look at my basement. He walked me through exactly what he was thinking for the layout and where he’d need to dig, and the quote he gave me was very reasonable. On the day of the install, Tuan and his brother showed up and were super professional. Since there were two of them working, they actually finished faster than expected. They left everything spotless when they were done, and Tuan took the time to explain how the system works and what I should keep an eye on. Best of all, my radon levels are now under 0.5 pCi/L. We are really happy with the service and the communication, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone in the area.
