  Weve used this company before - $400 to diagnose an issue and replace a gfci single outlet. In retrospect, this is outrageous. Recently we asked for a quote on a NEMA 14 50 outlet to charge an EV. They quoted us an entire new panel and options from $7000 to $13000!!!! Absolutely insane. We were out of spots on our panel but little did we know there were options rather than replace the entire panel! We called some other places and eventually went with the option of installing tandem breakers and then a NEMA 14 50. All safe and meeting code requirements. This cost under $1000 and achieved the same goal. We are so disgusted that we were never offered any alternatives and only quoted the highest priced solutions. What a gross company. We will not call them for any further electric needs. We feel the tandem breaker or subpanel should have at least been brought up as an option and discussed the pros and cons of that. Avoid at all costs.

  We called them to our property, to install a new 220v dryer outlet. After evaluating everything, he said that we needed a whole new electrical panel for $11,500. Because he saw a tiny bit of corrosion and blew it out of proportion, saying it could catch the house on fire. Before purchasing the house, we had it inspected by a qualified professional. And after Thomas Edison came, we had 2 other electricians evaluate the system and neither of them said it was an issue. They also provided significantly lower quotes for the other work we need. He said he was trying to help us out because we are new home owners and could try to discount the quote by $1,000. They were trying to take advantage of us and scare us into making a snap decision. We will never do business with Thomas Edison.

  I was looking for an electric company for the first time and this company came across. Wow google was nit wrong. Great service the price that we came to agre was great amazing job that it was done in my bathroom im very please with the technician awesome job. I will be contacting them again for other projects I have in the house. Thank you again

  Second time dealing with the Thomas Edison Electric and I have no complaints. Mauricio was pleasant and explained the cost breakdown for us and gave us the best option available. Would give them ten stars if I could.
