I reached out to Greg Harris for help with a Portland permit/code issue, and he was very helpful. He took the time to look into my situation, share information, and connect me with people who could help. I really appreciate his kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help someone he had never met before. Thank you, Greg, for going above and beyond!

I need to file a complaint against one of your drivers in a White Jeep Cherokee labeled with AKS Engineering and Forestry pulled into the easement of the drive way at 10473 SE Heritage Rd, Happy Valley OR, 97086. At 2:15 PM. The jeep paused for 10 seconds as I approached on my cargo bike down middle of my lane at 10 mph after just riding up hill. Pretty clearly he was assessing the construction or grade of the property under construction next door/across the street. I had multiple lights off the front of my bike strobing for awareness. As I neared the vehicle he began to back up, I yelled “hey look out” and braked to alert the driver. He began verbally berating me that I “snuck up on him.” I am a huge guy, on a cargo bike, full day time lights with my kid on the back. Riding slow with my kid... Legally riding in a lane with proper lighting in the day time! I replied “hey man use your cameras, be careful you are in a neighborhood with kids”. The driver began screaming profanities at me and my kid. To leadership at AKS this is a poor representation of your company, you’re in a family neighborhood. Right after school let out. School buses near buy. I was riding very conservatively with a child on the back. Pretty clear the driver was not watching and to begin screaming swear words in a family neighborhood. I did not bother to reply or look back. Fair to assume he sent some less than professional hand gestures. Dude could have just said “hey thanks” and gone on with his day. From previously working in construction I know accidents are pretty brutal on your ability to get insurance, loans, and bid large jobs. A work vehicle backing into road way vs bike with a kid on the back in a family neighborhood would look pretty bad…
